yeah you can download a mp4 movie from mxtube.
with the nokia you can download any movie format and play it (vlc on iphone is weak).
so you can jailbrake the phone that a nokia will do a better job.

as for radio, you can't listen to ip radio when broswing the web on iphone.
Do i have to tell you that you can do it with a nokia?

So all this power that iphone have is reduced to the absurd in a few lines...

I don't know what your on buddy but my iPhone can play ip radio while browsing im listening to aol radio as I'm typing this post. And I'm not downloading movies from mxtube I have a much better source than that. The iPhone is far from the best phone, but all these iPhone killers seem to just beat it on a spec sheet

Are you jailbroken? I never knew you could run apps in background while having Safari open.

edit: oh, it appears you are jailbroken. But, you've still been arguing features that the iPhone does not even have out of box? You're basically endorsing a phone that Apple doesn't even sell.

Yes, I have read all the lines about jailbreaking being harmless because all you have to do is flash your phone being bringing it back. But, what if the reason you are bringing it in because it can't flash for some reason (like can't communicate with iTunes for whatever reason)? Jailbreaking is not realistic for everyone.

yes i am Jailbroken 2.2 i can do whatever i want takes 10 minutes not a big deal jailbraking makes the phone 100x better. When i compare my jailborken iphone to my friends phones like the g1 and voyager, and htc touch i can't even imagine using those phones day to day they can't do half the stuff i'm used to doing all the time. The Htc touch is close reminds me of my old 8525

Honestly i have never used my iphone 3g unjailbroken I waited until it could be jailbroken before i purchased it. I held on to my 8525 for a while untill quickpwn was realeased. On paper non jailbroken the nokia would destroy the iphone. I can be honest and say the iphone is only pretty to look at out of the box. You should really jb your phone it can be restored anytime and what you gain is amazing puts all these iphone killers to shame how much better it is. The Nokia sounds really good i'm not denying that but after using my iphone i can't use any other phone comfortably if the UI can be matched exactly then i can think about another phone

I know apple doesn't sell the iphone jb but i am a believer that if i pay 300 dollars for a phone i should be able to use it how i want and bring out its full potential and if i have a problem bring it back get a new one that's what my warranty is for. All I am saying is in my phones current state all these iphone killers seem to sound great untill launch day and everybody tries so hard to make the iphone sound like it has no potential. If the iphone is so lame why is everybody scrambling to make the iphone killer, only company that will make an iphone killer is apple and when they do i'll be on line waiting for it.

I have never messed up any phone while flashing. i know what i'm doing an follow directions i flashed pretty much every windows mobile phone i owned to get rid of the bloatware ect. I'm on my 3rd iphone replaced the other 2 for cracks in the headphone jack area and the screen not being aligned. Apple is great at replacing defective products well at least in my experience.

im wondering if apple can through itunes detect a pwned iphone instalation. this may be accepted aas today but they can upgrade itunes adding a few lines to the eula and brick your phone.

Apple's hardware warranty (there is no software warranty) does NOT REPEAT NOT cover software. Not even their own OS or its updates. They explicitly deny covering their own software.

So it's arrogant that they worm out of dead touchscreen and other hardware warranty issues by claiming it's a software problem from jailbreaking. Especially since Apple, of all people, could easily return any phone to stock state to check it.

They didn't do this at first. I think they were even a little proud of the jailbreakers. Then they came to realize that over 20% of all phones sold were being unlocked (and probably twice that being jailbroken), and they changed their tune.

Yeah. Free DRM music which you can only use your 5800. Oh and you can only download using windows. So if you're using OSX or Linux, forget it!

Kinda throws out the idea of point 17. No sharing of those DRM files for users.

The 5800 feels plastic and cheap, its OS is slow and lags, plus working in a phone repair shop I can safely say we get plenty of these phones in for software updates. Not to add new features, but to fix bugs!

HELL no. I had a 5800 and that thing was beyond annoying. The touchscreen requires a crazy hard press to get it to do anything.

Anyone who says any Nokia is better than the iPhone is nothing more than a S60 whore. I've owned over 15 Nokia phones and can confidently say S60 is ancient compared to modern phones. I've burned up hofo's S60 forum (under a different name) and know everything about Nokias. The iPhone is leaps and bounds beyond the 5800. If anyone is considering the 5800, you've been warned.
