Hah, I get confused because Series 4 is what is coming out. Sigh…this is not the first time I have done this and will likely not be the last.
No worries! Too much hardware and software to keep straight nowadays!

iOS 12 debunked it. Anyway if you firmly Apple intentionally sabotages its devices for the purpose of sales, you go for it.
It’s laughable to think that Apple engages in planned obsolescence and we are still waiting for proof. It's laughable to think such practice applied by almost the entire tech industry is "debunked" by an iOS release.

Unless they were a beta tester and ignore those popups now.I don't know - I think most people update when a dialogue box tells them an update is available.
No, we are waiting for proof, but you can’t provide any because Apple doesn’t engage in that type of a nefarious business practice. You made the allegation, so prove it.Ooh you are waiting for proof.. oh ok. Why don't you write Timmy an email just to clarify since it's unclear?
Answer would come signed as "Sent from my iWielding machine".
2014 was not 8 years ago. In fact, Apple was still allowing 32-bit-only apps on the App Store as recently as 2015, and allowed users to purchase them as recently as 2016 without warning about future compatibility issues.Firstly, nothing is stopping the developers from updating their apps to 64-bit. It's not Apple's fault that the developer of some app you bought 8 years ago has abandoned it.
I have to say that the adoption rate of new operating systems at Apple is superb. Only 5% of users are two generations behind and just 10% one generation behind. That's simply amazing.

Don’t bother, you can’t.
That’s what I thought. No proof. Thanks.Pretty slow processing time for an i7, 486guy.
Yeah and what's really weird is they pulled tvOS version numbering forward so basically all iOS derived devices are going to be on 12 except watchOS. Makes me wonder if this was intentional because it will eventually run their AR stuff. No worries! Too much hardware and software to keep straight nowadays!
And they are behind for a reason. The device runs better on the older operating system.
Get the reason for 100% adoption by apple, now?
Have you been part of the 12 beta program? Have you seen how great it runs? I can’t wait for the GM release.
As Android 9 Launch Approaches, Android 8 Adoption Hits 14.6 Percent
Given the sheer number of iPhone 5/5c still around (emerging markets etc.) that 85% sounds very close to 100% of eligible devices...
That due RAM constraints in your device!I think the 5% have to be the devices that no longer allow newer updates. We have an iPad 2 which is stuck on 9 I believe.
And you hardcore folk who hold out!
I remember people saying similar nonsense about OS X 1.0 and PowerBooks.Who is waiting ???
Nobody expects Apple to ever add 32 bit support back to IOS.
I have no issues of staying at IOS 10 forever until forced to upgrade if I ever decide to get a new IOS device.
Many of us also feel the same about MacOS and have no plans of updating past 10.13 .
