Ashes 2009

72-6 at lunch.

Pretty damaging, don't think England can survive from such a wounding in this test. Momentum Australia.

Tom Fordyce (BBC Sport) on Twitter:
"Just seen the lunchtime menu at Headingley: humble pie for England, Australia having their cake and eating it."

great bowling Aussies! quite a suprise! Ponting read the pitch well.

EDIT: 92-7 now! great bowling from Siddle to edge Swann's drive and a great catch from Clarke in 2nd slip.

Not doubting Ponting's abilities but I would put more of reason that the score is such due to the English batsman being a bit useless.

More recently out of the top four only Strauss has been any good so getting him out early and cheaply such a big advantage.

The wickets seems to be mainly edges to the slips, good bowling attack but I agree it is more weak batting that caused this slump.

Advantage Australia.

Harmison… 12 runs off 1 over.

Ouch, my head hurts…
Maybe England's luck will turn if I stop wtaching?

Hairy arms is out lbw :)

38 run lead 7 wickets in hand, Austrialia are still very much in control.

What a day of cricket so far ~270-14.

Of course England take the minority-majority but still what a day and still a reasonable amount of time left.

Not what you'd call a great start to the morning.

The big question now is, can we score enough so that we only lose by an innings and less than 200 runs.

Fifth Ashes Test, The Oval

And here we go again. :D

1-1… Australia with the psychological edge?

Fred's last hurrah, he'll probably put his heart into it.

Good luck!

Edit:
Cook gone for 10… bugger.
