Just curious, anyone found a quick way to copy the URL of the current tab they are on in Safari? It seems that when you click on the address bar it will select the URL, but if you want to actually copy you'd need to actually tap again to unselect it and then double tap or tap and hold to get the selection options to come up, select "Select All", and only then get the option to Copy. Seems like a few too many steps especially when the URL is already all selected the first time you click on the address bar.
No need for all that.

Just click on the share icon, bottom center, square with an arrow pointing up. Click on it and you have lots of options, copy is one of them, copy, then you can paste the URL anywhere. I.E.: If you touch the twitter icon, it will give you a popup where you can add text to the URL and tweet it.

Just got iPhone 5S today and it seems I can download apps without entering a password. I have it set to require a password immediately for the AppStore. Surely I am missing another setting somewhere?

It's possible you are looking inside a bookmark folder. In top left corner next to Boomarks Menu, in blue, is there an < and text: "Bookmarks"? Click on this until it is no longer there.

In the Bookmarks tab you should see:
Favorites (star icon to left)
History (clock icon to left)
...and then various bookmarks/folders that are shared with safari on other devices on you Apple ID.

(BTW, if you have a twitter account and have signed in under Settings>Twitter, you should also have a @ tab...this tab shows all tweets in your feed that have a URL.)

Thanks, that was the solution,..like I said, silly and indeed overlooked, thanks again!

By default you can download apps for about 15 minutes after entering your password (or using Touch ID if you have it set that way). However, in-app purchases require password each time.

To change the 15 minute time go here:
Settings>General>Restrictions
For this in particular, scroll down to "ALLOWED CONTENT" Require Password.

Well, at least my phone seems to be working trouble free. Of course, the other half's; not so much. Shes still on a 4s now running iOS7 & she was about ready to throw it out the window of her work truck. Big issues were: the alarm that didn't wake her due to the sound changing, not being able to access voice mail or many other password-protected items, and the loss of iMessaging. Got everything else figured out pretty much but that last one. I've tried a few different things (turning off, then back on the iMessaging, power cycling the phone, and trying to re-enter her user name & password for the iMess). That last one only netted us this.

That was regardless of whether it was on 3G or wifi. Anyone have any thoughts or hints?

Can you explain the difference between "All" and "Missed" in the notification dropdown?

1) Do all "missed" items show up in "All"?
2) What classified as "Missed"? (Are these just things I missed while my phone was locked)

Why the heck would they make you type the new reminders at the bottom of the list. I have to scroll to the bottom first every time
I guess it simulates real life in a sense of having a list of items and adding something below the existing ones. (Not that it really makes that much sense in this context.)

Thanks. I've done this. After downloading the first app and entering my password, I try to download another (free) app and it asks for the password. I hit ok without entering anything and it begins to download anyway.

To add onto this, how can I use my fingerprint to download AppStore apps? I've tried to turn this on but it still asks for a password.

Did you install the iOS 7.0.1 update?

EDIT: Oh, wait, I see in the pic you have not signed in to your Apple ID, or signed out at some point.
First (can't remember where to do this), try: Settings>iTunes & App Store mine, at top, has my apple ID in blue, perhaps there is a grey sign in here.

May need to sign in to iCloud, if you haven't since updating to iOS 7. Settings>iCloud>Account

Then I would go to Messages and turn on iMessage (or turn off & on if it is on).

Yes. I'm on 7.0.1. I've tried rebooting and turning the feature off, then rebooting then turning it back on. It let me download another free app without entering a password. Still can't figure out how to get it to take a fingerprint scan instead.

Hmm, I just changed mine to "Immediately" and hit enter without entering password and it downloaded a second app. I guess it's a bug. ...I don't actually have 5s, but iPhone 5, so not sure about Touch ID settings. But apple has a new iBook, iPhone User Guide for iOS 7 that includes 5s, 5c: https://itunes.apple.com/us/book/iphone-user-guide-for-ios-7/id709872498

This is bad for me because of how often I let my kids use my phone. I'll check out the user guide, thanks.

Yeah; she is currently signed in on iCloud but I'll try signing her out then back in tonight.

I had a feeling I might have been overlooking a simpler option (which is what prompted the question). Didn't even really think that much about the sharing section as far as all the other options it provides as well. Thanks for that tip.

I see, in the meantime, you can prevent them from downloading apps:

Settings>General>Restrictions>

"Enable Restrictions" (be sure they don't see you enter passcode). Then, under "ALLOW" turn off: "Installing Apps", "Deleting Apps", "In-App Purchases", perhaps also "iTunes Store" to prevent them buying music/TV/Movies and "iBooks Store" if any of them might get a book. I did this and the App store disappeared from my home screen. You can just come back here to turn back on when you need or this is fixed. The passcode you set for "Enable Restrictions" will be needed to turn these back on. If you need to change the passcode here, just "Disable Restrictions" then enable them again and it will ask for you to enter a new passcode.

Anyone else have the annoying problem that the control center audio player does not pause your player and resume it if you get focus taken away if the player is not Music?

For instance, I use Downcast for audio podcasts. Listening to one, and start a youtube video - the video plays, and then finishes. I pull up the control center and my podcast is not there. It's blank. I have to go back to the Downcast app and hit play.

It works if it's the Music app built in. Also sometimes it defaults to the music app if you hit play in this instance.

I did update my iPhone (I don't remember the iOS version) and I didn't like iOS7 at all.

Now I restored my iPhone with an iOS 5.0.1 (thanks god I jailbraked this bad boy a long time ago and then update it "officialy", so I build an IPSW firmware signed of iOS 5 with iFaith) because I did not save SHSH blobs of iOS6 ...

So I may ask a stupid question but I'm a little desperate :
Is there a way to update it to the latest iOS 6 version ?
If no, is there a hope to do that soon ?

Maybe try the jailbreak section of this forum. You could search for your device and the latest iOS 6, I think Apple is still signing iOS 6, so you should be able to put iOS 6.1.3 or 6.1.4 on your idevice, (depending on which one you have), (EDIT: without jailbreaking. Which means using DFU mode to restore.)

two questions....

1) how do i delete multiple/all voicemails?

2) is anyone else having issues downloading images from emails? whether it be one image or muliple.

Anyone else experiencing a bug where the postal mailing addresses in your contacts are listed twice? Even newly added addresses get duplicated. I'm assuming this is a bug and not some strange setting I have enabled. (7.0 on a 4S. Will update to 7.0.2 tonight.)
