Am i losing the touch of cutting edge tech. Things like these, get conceptualised, designed, fund approved, mass produced, but to me its literally a junk, DOA.

EU legislation requires that advertisements are clearly indicated. I appreciate the site and the work the team behind it does, but those rules are there for a reason.

This would have been a possible buy for me if they added buttons. I'm not sure how it works in the Kindle and other 3rd party book apps. But in the Apple Books app, I can press space bar or shift-space to go back and forth respectively or left and right arrow keys. This made using my iPhone + Clicks Keyboard case a much better ebook reader for me.

Genuinely made me laugh out loud, which actually made it more useful to me than some products, but not in a way that will be profitable for them unfortunately.

Don't see any requirement for this. Better to have iPad mini or even normal sized iPad.

As a lot of others are saying, if this somehow had physical page-turning buttons (which would be impossible unless you got all the e-reader app makers to support it) I could somewhat see this being useful.

As it is though? No way. Why would I carry around a case that's almost the size of a Kindle, when I could just carry around an actual Kindle.

I'm really not sure how this got made. Bit sad for the team behind it though.

With the Shortcut, a reading app can be set to open up whenever the iPhone is put into Bookcase thanks to an included NFC tag.
I am so not the target market for this, and given the cheap price of e-paper readers and the lack of page-turning buttons, I'm not entirely sure there is a market for this, but the NFC tag to open an app when you magsafe your phone into it is a clever idea.

I hadn't thought of this kind of use case before, but now that there's better NFC reader access on the iPhone, and given how cheap NFC tags are, there are probably all kinds of cool tricks you could hack together.

Aah, another "disrupter" CEO idea...

This is like 2$ and your thumb can actually reach to turn pages, to, you know, read...

To everyone saying that this accessory is the worst/stupidest/(other negative superlative) ever:

Did you forget that the Apple FineWoven cases exists?

Can’t trust your opinions on anything if you are THAT forgetful. Worst long-term memories ever!!! 😂

It would take me 2 weeks to read a 100 page book on my 13PM. Not because I’m lacking reading skills but the screen is way too small to read a book for me… but hey, it’s not that expensive so good luck with this
Eh, I’ve been reading ebooks on little handheld devices since I had my first Palm IIIe.

Or...an e-reader...

I know using an e-reader to read books is futuristic now, but someday people will stop inventing ways to read ebooks and just use e-readers.

One day a company will storm the market with a revolutionary device to read books, they will call it something like kondle...kandle or something like that.
