(Non-Pro) model will be behind schedule. Done on purpose to force people to upgrade to Pro versions with non-pro features like 120hz Pro Motion displays which dirt cheap Android phones have.

If this happens, I don't think it will be intentional. Remember the iPhone X came out 2 months after the iPhone 8.

And they wouldn't want sales to slip past Q4.

It’s not the end of the world. iPhone 14 is not some life saving product. Just to prove it, I work in the medical field and they are using iPhone 8 and XR. The 3 week delay will always work in Apples favor since the next quarter will benefit from that pent up demand.

In a sense, they are taking care of the vast majority by sacrificing a small group of people due to a public health issue. And if you apply this same rule to where you live at country, state, even city level, we will likely find examples of which things like freedom of speech, health, career and more from a smaller group were suppressed/sacrificed to benefit another group. In the modern world, people call it democracy. It's really not about right and wrong, just how things work.

Actually, I think patients are thriving because of it! Nursing staff won’t be obsessed looking at their stainless, 120 Hz screen all day. 😄

As expected, given manufacturing shortages and production delays are the new ‘norm’ now.

And a lot can change between now and July, when typically production is in full swing.

Perhaps the iPhone cycle will have to be delayed by an entire month (or two).
