I think someone needs to create a WWDC first aid thread manned by volunteer healthcare workers. I think there will be a lot of people with raised blood pressure and other problems due to some internet rumors not coming to fruition.
There will be massive disappointment for sure if no MBPs are announced. I still think there’s been far too much smoke for there not to be fire at WWDC. Anticipation for the new machines is high.

We’ll see— Monday is coming soon!

Anticipation is definitely running high on MR. Hopefully, I am wrong and there won't be a lot of let down on Monday for many people.

You do realize that the M1 Mac Mini was a total surprise at Apple's November M1 Mac event. All of the rumors were going wild about the M1 MacBook Pro being the first Apple Silicon Mac, and then BAM, the Mac Mini comes out of nowhere. So we'll have to see..
imagine if they do the same with a surprise M1X 24inch iMac alongside the (supposed) MacBook pros

You're going to get a 16" M1 with extra ports / more RAM etc or an M1X and nothing else. My prediction.

Oh, well....

It's possible the leakers weren't wrong. I.e., that Apple did intend to mention the new MBP's at WWDC but then, for whatever reason, changed its mind at the last minute. These things do happen in business.

Morgan Stanley Analyst do you have anything to say?

The thing is, there's no *actual* consequence for being wrong, so they're probably just like 🤷🏼‍♂️

It's kind of a broken dynamic. I guess that's why measuring the "track record" of various analysts is a good idea.
