Any word on tethering? I believe I activated it using a custom carrier profile and I'd assume this update will overwrite that.

anddddd of course AT&T's network is not robust enough to support everyone sending MMSs at the same time. Anyone else's iPhone taking 3-5 minutes to send?

Yeap and I tried sending more than one MMS at one time and they fail. Guess u have to send one at a time.

LOL something else for the forum to bytch about

Works great!

I'm really getting tired of these forums because all anyone does is complain...
Complaining that AT&T didnt support MMS on 3.0 is understandable, but complaining because it wasn't up when you woke up this morning... Get a life!

And now tethering seems to be the new complaint... Why didnt people complain like this over blackberrys?? My brother has a blackberry less than 2 years old: no Wi-Fi, no mms, no tethering...

Bad huh?

Maybe you're bad... works fine here. Being Jailbroken would be the only valid excuse that I can see, and since I am not, 3.1 was an obvious upgrade.

Not true.
3.1 breaks MS Exchange Active sync (on stock, non-jailbroken phones) leaving MANY enterprise users without their work email in the mail app.

FREAKEN sweet it works. Had some network issue because of people trying to update their phone.

Just tried to txt a pix to a friend on the same network. He hasn't received it yet, maybe because he has not updated his phone yet could that be it?

how does it work if you send a mms from an updated iphone to a non updated iphone?

I tested that. It went out fine from my phone but the recipient received nothing. And, I didn't get any sort of alert that it didn't go through. Seems like there should be some sort of message that gets kicked back.

Ok, someone please tell me how this is better than attaching a photo or movie to an email. Email requires nothing extra and it's free.

Because not all phones have email and even more so... This is just a efficient quick way to do it now.. especially with general phones

yeah. Look for "Spell Number" in the app store

this app is called "Spell Number" ?

Can't seem to find anything like it..

Does your company use Exchange encryption? If not, my understanding is that you won't have a problem with 3.1.

3.1 does not break MS active sync. It's complying with SSL rules.

I know what you mean, i just sent my buddy a test mms and he has not recieved it. I think he hasn't updated his phone yet also.
