Anyone with the B2B Txt Msg 750 for $7.49 have MMS working? Mine is still not sending through.

I have the same plan and just updated my carrier file and rebooted. I am unable to send an MMS and when receiving an MMS I still get the old "viewmymessage.com/2" message. Either ATT has yet to update these txt plans or has no intention of doing so. I never received a TXT from ATT explaining the upcoming MMS update either. I am in NYC.

You don't need 3.1 to install the new 5.5 AT&T carrier settings file. I have a 3.0 JB 3GS with the 5.5 carrier setting. MMS working fine.

Really, mine sends within 10 secs... hmmm. Guess it depends on where you live? Pensacola, FL here.

it varies depending on my signal and ive sent them within 10 seconds as well. I think this is great for launch day. I live in Myrtle Beach, SC

This isnt a bug, if your exchange server requires device encryption it wont allow a 3g to connect anymore, it was a bug in 3.0

Call it 'broken,' call it an 'enhancement,' whatever makes you happy.

I no longer get work email on my phone with 3.1.
I call that breaking something.

We all know that 'bug' was a lie to get enterprise adoption on the fast track.

"* MMS is not available on the original iPhone. Original iPhone owners: you can still view MMS messages you receive using the View my message website."

:confused::eek::mad:

So I installed this update, restarted my phone, and now it won't turn on. I hit power, the silver Apple appears, and then it just shuts off after a minute. Have repeated a dozen times. Plugged into the wall, into my computer, etc. Last thing I wanted to do was head to the Apple store today.

iTunes could not update the carrier settings on your iPhone. An
unknown error occurred (OxE8000050).

Thanks for the file. Upgraded from 5.2 to 5.5.

Did you do this via iTunes? I'm thinking do a shft+ update (windows) and search for the ipcc file for the update. I don't see that itunes has sent me the file yet though. Would I put the full zip in my carrier update folder, or just the ipcc?

Thanks in advance!

So can I get my email or not?

Nope, can't get it with 3.1

I guess it's broken.
If your company cares enough to require email encryption, maybe you shouldn't be carrying it around on your phone unencrypted. Just sayin'

My work email comes through fine on 3.1 because we don't force encryption.

Do the phone companies make the usual 40 cents off of an MMS? 20 cents from the sender and 20 from the receiver?*

Or does this cost more than SMS?

I've been so spoiled by free email that I have no idea what people pay for MMS! I'd love to use one thing occasionally though: sending the current GPS location when separated from friends in a large area. IIRC, that's something we can now do.

* Make that 21 cents per party per message (with tax), and 3 messages total minimum: initial message, acknowledgement, and "ok c u later." So $1.26 from sharing one photo. Hope the telcos can stay in business on such slim margins :)

Can somebody PLEASE show me how to install the new carrier file, that somebody posted on here, on my 3GS??? It's non-jailbroken and it's on 3.0, I don't want to install to 3.1 yet...

How do I install it??? Please???

Finally!

Just downloaded the carrier file update and it works great here in Vicksburg, MS! The iPhone is now the best phone around!!!

Wow, bummer. Try a reset, hold home button, sleep button until apple appears again.

i just want to send pictures to people now....yahh..

1) i dont have any worthy pictures to send
2) i dont have any reason to send unworthy pictures to people

They fixed what was broken and now it functions as it should. Protecting sensitive corporate email is imperative and using the 3G doesn't provide the device encryption necessary to uphold Exchange encryption standards. Talk to your company about this and see how they feel about it.

Ok, someone please tell me how this is better than attaching a photo or movie to an email. Email requires nothing extra and it's free.

For me, it's more about not getting annoying messages from AT&T that tell me to go to a website and enter a complicated username and password to view some MMS that someone tried to send me. Also, MMS is a nice option to have, at least.

Just called AT&T they did something to get it working...it was funny I was talking with the guy how I felt bad for him because I am sure they are so busy because I manage a Help Desk and he said they are all offered OT pay today at 1.5x plus $10 an hour they have had so many calls and its not even been an hour....

Maybe I wouldnt have made the choice to buy a phone that doesnt jive with SSL protocols.... if I had known earlier.
I bought it wit the impression that it worked with Active sync.
Guess that was my fault.

Just sayin'.
