updated, but

I just updated carrier settings, but still no changes... hmmmm

Haha... Awesome. You rock AT&T.

My first MMS failed. Twice. It doesn't even start to send. Just an immediate red exclamation.

Just curious... I can't update from an iTunes different than the one with my library on it, right?

I can't plug it into a computer without my phone synced already and update it can I?

I used my work computer that i don't sync to and it updated the carrier files without any problems. Took about 15 secs and I verified every works.

Installed, Rebooted, and sent first MMS...

It actually works! Either the world is ending today, or everything went pretty smooth for once!:D

Btw.. East Coast (Northern Virginia)

So, put me down for TWO predictions:

1) Apple and AT&T will require iTunes 9 and iPhone firmware 3.1 to be able to install the new MMS-compatible carrier file.

2) Zero network problems due to installing the new MMS-compatible carrier file.

Mark

1) I was wrong about Apple requiring iTunes 9.
2) I was right about Apple requiring firmware 3.1.
3) I'm not seeing any network problems here.

The first two messages I sent were flawless now there is a little lag. The status bar loads fast and hangs up on the last little bit. I imagine everyone is sending messages to verify it works so I am not surprised by the slow down.

I've sent 2 pics. and it worked fine on my end, but the person I sent them to didn't receive them. I'm assuming they need the update, right?

I'm not experiencing any delay or lag that is any different than sending a regular SMS message. Mine always have a tiny bit of lag at the end of the sending bar.

Late West Coast Time?! Wow living on the East coast makes me a second class tech citizen. When will these damn US tech companies realize that the USA is more than California?

yes AAMOF it does ... especially since you can't figure out that the rest of the country gets it at the same time equally
