This all really shows how love/hate it is with Apple and AT&T.

AT&T is under big pressure with this launch but I doubt that they feel the need to bend over backwards for iPhone users who are upgrading.

They do, after all, have a monopoly and they are probably paying something like $500 per 3GS iPhone so I doubt that they give two turds about us waiting an extra week at the launch.

From Apple's perspective this is their baby and they want to get as many of them in our hands as possible.

I would have ordered from Apple direct if it had not been for corporate lines and FAN accounts.
 
I dont remember from looking around this forum, but what does it mean when they charge your account? Doesn't that mean that they have either shipped it or it is about to ship. My order status still says In Progress. I ordered on the 13 and I am not expecting it on Friday but it would be very nice.
 
I figured I'd post this just for s***s and giggles. If you want to keep checking your order status, but don't want to leave the window open, you can use this link instead. All you will have to enter each time is the new pass phrase (stupid pass phrase!).

Here's an example link. You will just have to modify the bolded text to meet your order information.

The vMethod is the type of method you want to use to find your order status with (ordernum = order number, mdn = Wireless number, homenum = Home/Work number).

The vNumber is the number that corresponds to the method (either order number, wireless number, or home/work number).

The ZipCode is... your five-digit zip code.

Once you have the link set up, you can bookmark it and just enter a pass phrase. See... it's easy peasy lemon sqeazy!

On my 17th order that statement changed to 7 to 14 days. :mad:
 
It's pretty simple for the AT&T online orders. They cannot show a ship status until they actually get the phones into their facility and prep them for shipment. Once they have the units to fulfill the orders they will provide tracking numbers. We will probably not get any updates until thursday afternoon. I won't bet on mine arriving until I see "Out for Delivery" on the tracking. I never got a "The wait is almost over" email from AT&T on the 13th or was that from Apple?

It was from AT&T, but I pre ordered on the 9th and received that email on the 13th. If you ordered late last week, they might not have sent it to you. That email was more of a "get real excited and spend more money" because it had a link to AppleCare and other stuff.
 
Ordered in-store on the 9th for in-store pickup, both orders now show "shipped" with the tracking number, though neither tracking number has any information on the UPS site.

And I wonder - is anyone else seeing something where the iPhone entry of the order is gone, and the freight remains? See below (the pictures are from yesterday - now I have "shipped" as the status and "1" underneath "Qty Shipped" in both items. See what I mean? Both entries earlier had the iPhone line and a freight entry as well. Now one has the iPhone and the other has the freight...

im in the same boat as you.. i also ordered two iphones and both of my order status looks like yours
 
Same boat as everyone, says shipped with tracking number since yesterday but UPS store says nothing

My bad, I did get it from AT&T. I ordered on the 9th around noon. No shipping info yet. I know someone who works for the company that does AT&T logistics and he said he couldn't get the order shipped early but would work to make sure it arrived on the 19th.:D

psh! I don't care about rude people...

I'm just noticing that most if not all people who are farther along the process are people who ordered from apple. which I guess makes sense since they are the providers...but I mean At&T should be better at this by now, after two iphone releases.

Also, the charge on my card has been dropped and my account balance has been updated...I have exactly $267 put back into my account...the price of the iphone plus another phone that I ordered from at&t.

I think part of that has to do with it coming straight from Apple as opposed to going from Apple to AT&T then to you.

Of course, there's still people that ordered from Apple on the 9th/10th who didn't get theirs shipped yet, so who knows.

Unless Apple already had some in the US in CA and they'll be shipping them out tonight or tomorrow.
 
Still in progress here; ordereda black 32GB from AT&T online on Wednesday but order status shows Friday since it took 2 days to process. It is driving me crazy since I don't know if I am fairly assured of getting it since I actually ordered Wednesday, or if I am on the borderline since the status page says I ordered Friday. :(

Yeah.... :eek: trying to keep all the excitement in. Still "in progress" here. I ordered my phone on June 9th round 12pm EST.
