Did any one get any mail from AT&T regarding the Premier order ?
I ordered a black 32 Gig on June 10th.
i haven't gotten anything like that. the only email i've recieved was the original "AT&T Premier Order Received" email. nothing since. mine is still showing back-ordered, though.
all this is making me worried. I ordered 3 in the AT&T store on the 13th and got the "7-14 days" email the status shows in process on all of them and I was really hoping to have it on the 19th

I talked to an AT&T rep this morning as well, she said everything is fine and they will be there by the 19th... I hope so... hopefully they aren't shipped from China like all of the Apple pre-orders are.

Go look at the Apple thread where they haven't shipped yet.
They're all starting to change to preparing to ship or shipped.
It's mostly people who ordered early as well.
I think that the Apple phones that are shipping now are the ones for people who ordered later, and this is to fullfill the increased sales volume of phones ordered during that time period.
Same situation here, I ordered june 9th for home delivery no changes so far.. i've read other peoples thoughts and would have to hope/agree with these:
-ATT will not be as detailed because their shipments must arrive to them first so they can turn around and send em out to us
-ATT online home orders expect to see changes on Thursday because they need to have them in facilities first and get their own tracking situation down.
Apple people are going straight from apple so they get to follow their phone as it rides with bundles of others across the country..
I'm still hoping its just that they are not being as detailed and as we speak our phones are headed toward ATT's facilities so we can get those puppies by friday <--(I just wonder why those picking up at stores can follow theirs though, or at least know its ready to ship... maybe the idea that ours are in the U.S. already is possible too?)=D

Hey guys, I just got off the phone with a premier account manager and he assured me that all online order from ATT premier will ship on the 19th and customers will receive the week after.
I asked to cancel my order and the answer was "NO", it cant be canceled, just refuse the package and will get my money back a few days after.
guess just have to wait a few more days? leasson learned....next time will order from apple.

I suspect you are correct. I think that is a backass way to do it. The labels applied in China seems logical. What do we know???
On a side note, why is everything here built in China? Aren't they communist? Didn't we bankrupt the Soviet Union because they were communist? Don't we boycott Cuba because they are communist? I just don't get it. Oh yea...USA unemployment 10%, I am sure Americans would work for $8/ hr and build iPhones. (JUMPING OFF SOAPBOX!!!!!!!!!!!)

I ordered online from AT&T on the 15th. I got an email that said shipment would be delayed 7 to 14 days. When I went online to check status it said back ordered. Then I checked today and it said "in process". So hopefully I will get it Friday. 32 White.
Ordered on the 12th and just now seeing that it shipped on AT&T order status page. Woot shipped today.

Everything is built in China and we put up with their BS because they are buying up all of the crappy US mortgage and credit card debt.
If the US did something to piss off China such as trying to force them to allow their currency to rise higher against the dollar then they would stop buying billions a week in treasury notes and bonds and crush us (economically) like a bug.
China has close to $1000B (yes that's a "B") in cold hard cash (gold bullion). How much does the US have? Estimates put it at around $50B.
The same wall street geniuses that convinced corporate america that it was a good idea to off shore millions of US jobs, and the same wall street geniuses that convinced banks that it was a good idea to let someone who earns $30,000 a year carry $20,000 of credit card balances are now trying to convince us that it's a good idea to let China own us.
If there's anything we should be upset about, it's not China building our iPhones, it's corporate americas continued greed and the fact that they own our government with their under the table campaign contributions.

I ordered mine on the 12th (which was fairly early... I thought... or at least in time).... but then AT&T Premier is showing my order date as the 15th. What the heck?
Mine is still "in process" or whatever it is and is listed as "backordered". I actually ordered 2 phones and a brand new plan. I was an AT&T customer for about 8 years before switching to Tmobile 6 years ago. I swore I'd never come back, but decided to take a chance since Tmobile has been letting me down. I don't doubt that I'll get my phones, but I worry that it will drag until my billing day with Tmobile and I'll get billed for an additional month. Yuck. I am sick of paying them for my weak service. I was hoping it would be done a couple of days before my billing day. Crossing fingers. If it drags to the billing day I'll be bummed.

Interesting. Thanks for the update EmptyWallet. I can't complain too much as my wife and I are both government employees and get about $15 off a month over what the average person does. Sure it's not the greatest deal.... as I know others have better plans through their employer. But at least it's something.
T-mobile wouldn't give me any sort of a discount, not even on a phone and I have never gotten a phone discount in the six plus years I've been a customer. I've paid cash price on all of them so I never had to extend a contract. Now they only offer a discount worth getting if I get a 2 year contract plan. Heck... if I have to do that I might as well get the best phone possible. Hello AT&T (I feel dirty now).
