Ok so instead of learning from your mistakes that you did with your 3G network, your gonna sit on your lazy asses and take my $85 dollar bill every month for the next 2 years make a ton of money and try to let your 3G network hold half of USA's traffic? So basically i can expect a 4G ATT network in 2014/2015 half assed like your 3G network.

All i can say is i better see the iphone on another network besides att soon.

I have Roll-over minutes, why not roll-over data?

Don't know if this is offered by any service providers, but wouldn't roll-over data to buffer your low and high usage months be a better solution than getting whacked for going over your tier. Just saying...:apple:

yeah but wireless companys... to say lightly are *******s who only care about the bottom line. Rollover data would mean they would not profit as much from people going over there limit and charging them a ridiculous amount of money for each MB.

I, for one, will never use AT&T again

About a six weeks ago AT&T Wireless set up a "military suspension" to hold my account until I got back from volunteering to serve in the Peace Corps. They also told me my phone was unlocked so I could use it in my assignment. Done. Happy camper.

Fast forward to the present, I am not a happy camper.

They are still billing me the full amount each month and my phone doesn't work. After a week of sending emails back and forth, they say Peace Corps is not eligible for the suspension (no reason given) and it is impossible to unlock the phone (they blamed that one on Apple). First tier support says I need to CALL someone named "Anthony Gose" for a better explanation but MY PHONE DOESN'T WORK! It's not toll free, of course, and he has refused to start an email conversation (also without reason).

If I wasn't mislead before leaving, I could have done something about it. But I can't now, so my account will have to go into collections. Nice.

It depends on the tiers:

$30 for 100MB
$45 for 250MB
$60 for unlimited???

You must be joking. Here at $45 we'd receive at least 8GB AND... included tethering do-what-you-want-with-our network. Oh and we're soon to go more than 80Mbps.

people complain cause they have no life. there are 3 other us carriers get one of them. you have no right to complain.

That is the most illogical concept I've ever heard in my life.

Follow your own advice then buddy....

Don't complain about your job...there are thousands of other jobs out there, get one of them. You have no right to complain.

Don't complain about your significant other....there are thousands of other people out there to be with. You have no right to complain.

Don't complain about the food you eat....there are thousands of other items of varying degrees out there to eat. You have no right to complain.

Don't complain about your vehicle....there are thousands of other vehicles to drive. You have no right to complain.

Get the point or should I keep going on and on and on to point out your stupidity?

that's what i thought.

Example:

250MB per month: $15
500MB per month: $25
Unlimited: $35

But here's the REASONABLE part... If I sign up for the 250MB plan but, in an odd month here or there, I go OVER 250MB, instead of then charging me some OUTRAGEOUS amount for each extra megabyte, kick me up to the 500MB for that month and only charge me $25. Likewise, if I go over 500MB, kick me up to Unlimited for $35.

But only for those months that I go over.

The network operators in Germany offer a slightly different variant that I think is pretty fair:

500 MB per Month : €*10.
5 GB per Month: €25.

If you use more, you will not be charged more, but your speed will be limited to 64 kbit/s for the rest of the month. That means you allways know exactly what you have to pay, but you will not be disconnected from your email or other really important services if you exceed the limit.

Such plans are available on a month to month basis that can be canceled at any time. There are also 5 GB / 30 € contracts for 2 years that include a free netbook with build in 3G (I think there will be similar offers with iPads).

iPad is going to be HUGE. AT&T is underestimating the potential long-term impact on their network.

Randall L. Stephenson whereas the "L" stands for Liar and/or Loser.

Tiered pricing...let me see, my bet is while our reception has been knocked down to 0 bars they'll sell me a tiered reception package for 1 bar or 2 bars or for 3 bars. Yeah, that;s what their tiered pricing will be and since they've knocked me down to 0 bars (from my previous 3 bars) I'll have to upgrade.

The report curiously explains that Stephenson does not expect the iPad to generate significant numbers of new "subscriptions" for AT&T, although customers are expected to use "prepaid" services.

It is unclear what these terms are referring to, as Apple has only announced that AT&T will be providing month-to-month, contract-free data services for the iPad that could be considered both "prepaid" and "subscriptions".

It's not unclear. They value postpaid subscription contracts above all else because if there is no follow through they get cancellation fees. They like "commitment".

The prepaid "contracts" while numerous are at 50% the price, and at least so far, have not proven to be sticky. That likely will change with Apple iPad.
