Got my confirmation email fast. I was able to order 10 minutes early through ATT.

On my confirmation the shipping date says between Oct 2 to 14 though....

on a Gold iPhone 6+ 128gb

BUT

When I check my order status is says "Preparing for shipment" on the phone, yet there is a second line item that says "VAR INTANG1" that is "back ordered"

WTF is that? Can anyone explain what a VAR INTANG1 is???

I recieved a confirmation email with the 9/19delivery date, but my order status my order ship date says "pendeing confirmation". I think we need to take a step back and let all these syaytem catch up. They are processing a lot right now.
 
Just waited on hold for 45 minutes to talk to a clueless/useless ATT employee who suggested that I submit another preorder since I didn't receive any confirmation email and she couldn't find my order.

Do you have a pending charge on your cc? When the order was placed, it did say it could take up to 24 hours to show in the system. Hoping it doesn't take that long since I'm still waiting to cancel and it doesn't make sense that some are getting email confirmations and some aren't. I would just give it a bit more time, or else you can always place another order if it will let you and just cancel one of them once you do get a confirmation.

Yep...if it works like previous launches, AT&T knows they have a set number phones to match to orders.

But until everything in your upgrade is verified and your phone is matched up, it's going to be listed as 'Pending'. Depending on where your phone is being shipped from (in the past they've used multiple distribution centers), your phone may not be matched up for awhile. People will invariably panic and think they don't have a phone...it just hasn't been matched up yet.
 
I'd suggest canceling the ATT order and keeping the Apple order. Apple is more likely to deliver when they say they will. ATT is again unprepared for an iPhone launch.

AT&T website said I couldn't cancel a "Premeire" order so I had to cancel the Apple order.
 

It says pending confirmation. One time charges 106.92. Monthly charges 62.87. So what will I be charged? It does down on the bottom the one time charge is an estimate so maybe it'll change to only be charged for my taxes.

This does not freaking add up what the hell man. It does say upgrade so at least that worked. Argh I'm sleepy and frustrated. Never again with AT&T I've learned my lesson.
 
Ordered a 64GB 6 Plus literally within the first 5 minutes of pre-ordering. Just checked my AT&T order and it says shipping date 10/31/14 - 11/11/14.

WTF?! I'm going to be so pissed if I literally have to wait until the end of October, early November. Anybody else have that long of a ship date?

Ordered first phone within 15 min and I have a month wait at this time. I'm assuming that will change for the better once things settle down.
 
I logged in AT&T right at 3:00 a.m. EST, site knew automatically my number was eligible for upgrade so I didn't have to go through that hassle, selected iPhone 6, gray, 64GB, site already had my address, AND it kept my unlimited data plan from 2008 without a hitch. I was done and logged out by 3:05 a.m. Went back to bed, woke up to 2 confirmation e-mails saying it will arrive 9/19.

Actually pretty happy about the AT&T experience this time....unless of course no phone arrives 9/19....!
 
I dialed 611. Pressed 4 for sales support, 6 to speak to a human. Was on hold for 35 minutes. Got a smart one. She pushed a lot of buttons. She couldn't find my order even though I received the confirmation email, I have a order ID, and I can see the order when I check the status online.

She put me on hold, she went to check with someone else. She came back and asked if I'd placed only one order. I said no, that I had also bought it from Apple. Some more time on hold. Apparently I've created a tear in the time space continuum.

So she says she can't find the order to cancel. She did see the Apple order. Weird. She said to wait a bit since they are backed up and that the cancel button may show up on the status page, if to call back again.
 
I ordered one i5 with AT&T and one with Apple on pre-launch last time. The apple one came on delivery day and the AT&T order took 3 weeks.
 
something definitely not right. They charged me a total different price then they said they would charge me. Also it says my phone is not shipping until the 31st???!!! what the hell is the point of pre-ordering.
 
Apple was impossible to get on. At 00:45 tried ATT again and got through. iPhone+ 64 space grey with the ATT email stating delivery between October 13-22. Makes me so angry at Apple. Why can't the manage this? Forty five minutes into it and it's that long a wait?

Wish Android didn't suck; I'd move there in a heart beat.
 
Anyone got an additional $40 1GB mobile share plan on the monthly charges? I am already on a mobile value share plan and not sure what that is for.

That was my experience as well.....had no problems with the AT&T ordering process. Got my order in quickly on the Next program. Got 2 order confirmation emails so far. Quite happy with it.....
 
Just received my confirmation email and it states 35-42 days for shipping!

Looks like I might try my luck at the Apple Store. Sucks I had to wake up at 2:50am for no reason.
 
I got up at 2:45am EST and loaded the AT&T in Chrome. Had the placeholder banner. What's interesting is that in years past they used to include a link at the bottom to log into the site. That's how I always used to do it.

So for fun I loaded the site with Safari and it let me right in. Got dumped to the check availability screen for both mine and my wife's phones.

Unlike years past, AT&T kind of forced me to do 2 separate transactions for each phone instead of putting both in the cart at once. Had no issues. Ordered 2 iPhone 6 Space Grey 16GB (one at a time).

I got the initial confirmation emails at 2:57a and 2:58a.
I then got 2 order status emails at 3:19a and 4:54a.
We then each got a text message at 9:00a saying orders processed.

Both phones expected to be delivered on 9/19.

Something is strange. I don't know why this is working for many of you. I am a premier account as well with AT&T, and I canceled my order. I went to the Order Status ling in the confirmation email, entered in my order number, etc, then at the next page was a Cancel Preorder button. I selected it, check that I was sure, and hit confirm.

I have gotten my Next paperwork on the one I ordered through Apple as well. Just to be sure, (because I never received a AT&T cancelled order confirmation email) I called AT&T. They said that they are showing that it is canceled, and the only phone upgrade they see is the iPhone 6 I ordered from Apple.
 
Is there anyone that ordered at or around 3am EDT that has still NOT received an email confirmation?

Sounds like most from this thread have received emails with their order and/or contracts or some sort of correspondence from AT&T. Nothing here still and order is also not showing in the order status on AT&T's website. Just wondering how many are still waiting.
