AT&T FaceTime over cellular with Unlimited plans seems live...for real this time

Im on 6.1 and dont feel like updating to 6.1.2 and installing all my JB hacks again.
Wonder if this only pops up for 6.1.2 users?

Disregard. It's off again and I get the pop up if I try to turn it in. Oh well. Lasted a day.

You might get throttled if you do this. Throttling can begin at 2 or 3gb for unlimited plans. Also, this will eat your battery fiercely.

Pkgbackup restored all of jb apps without a hitch, juiced - you may want to give it a shot if you're like me and you like to be on the newest OS if possible.
 
I seem to have facetime over unlimited right now. I dunno if it is related to the fact that I jail broke my phone or not. The only thing I have installed through cydia is tetherme with its dependencies.

Nope, tetherme doesn't enable facetime over carrier data on unsupported plans.
Maybe AT&T enabled that for unlimited plan in your area. I just checked mine again and still no luck.

Same here, I have unlimited and just tried FaceTime over cellular (wifi off) to my iPad that is connected to work wifi. Works, and I tried it again earlier some weekend ago and remember that my wifi was off at the time. But my phone is jailbroken on 6.1.2 as well, and I do have tetherme, activator, a couple emulators, and maybe a couple other tweaks, but nothing that I remember regarding enabling FT over cellular or of the like. Sent from my iPad.
 
Oh snaps! So, I'm jailbroken but don't have 3G Unrestrictor installed or any bypass tweaks at all, and I just realized I FaceTimed my mother two days ago from the store so she could clarify what I was buying! Hahaha! Just did it again to my Mac to confirm. Looks like AT&T's is throwing us unlimited users a bone...

Doesn't work for me, though I am not jailbroken. I am going to jailbreak now, but not install ANY tweaks (minus cydia of course) and see if that changes anything. Will report back in a few.

JB or not has nothing to do with it.
Maybe AT&T is slowly enabling that feature on unlimited data plans but nothing yet on my JB i5 on unlimited data.
But 3G Unrestrictor works great to overcome that restriction;)

I can verify that jailbreaking didn't do anything. I haven't ever used FaceTime so I have no use for 3GUnrestrictor. If it was free I'd grab it just to have, but it's pointless paying for something I will likely never use. Good for those that need it though! Way back when I used it when literally everything but internet browsing was restricted from 3G lol.

I hear you.
I only need to use it once in a while when away from wifi so I installed it.
That and Mywi to get tethering is great.

Are you still on the unlimited plan? I'd totally pay for mywi, but am paranoid unlimited will be taken from me. I hover around 3GB a month anyway, but Id rather get 5GB untethered for $30 than 3GB for $30 with the chance of a $10 overage every so often.

Yep, still unlimited but don't use it much or very heavily.
Just here and there for a half hour or so.
They haven't bothered me for years but I'm not like some that rack up 10-15GB's.

Cool deal. We don't have a laptop anymore, so I would only be using it on the wife's iPad mini whenever we travel. Couldn't justify the LTE version for the few days a year we spend at the airport.
 
Hmm very strange. I'm afraid to turn off facetime over cellular and trying to turn it back on to see if its a fluke.
 
I have a Prepaid unlimited data and the FaceTime over cellular is turned on for me as well. I'm afraid to turn it off to test it though. :p
