The guy on the phone (FAN guy) had no clue what I was talking about, but he was an idiot.
Yes, but only if you are a Premiere customer(that is you have a FAN on your account currently). If the rep is too dumb to know how, call back and get someone smarter. Also, if they ask where you got it, just mumble something about getting it from corp rep.
That's real nice. So they're dumb if they don't know how to do something. I take it you have never worked in a call center before.
That's nice.

EDIT:
I have a FAN number through my University. Will I be able to go to an Apple Store?
It wasn't meant to be nice, or mean for that matter. He was stupid. Do you want me to say "not that bright" and use an empty euphamism where my real opinions are, at best, thinley veiled?
I called Premier/FAN support. That's his job, and he didn't know how to check, or add, a code to a line. That is dumb.
And I take it you do work in a call center.

No I just spoke with a CSR and they said you must go to AT&T.
So how can you find out, aside from asking your company, if your company has a FAN discount or whatever?
There are so many conflicting reports it's driving me crazy! Here's the thing: I (my parents) get the bill. It's not payed for by any company, I merely have the discount because of association with the institution (student). Some have said that as long as I am an authorized user on the bill, that I should be OK. Some have said that I won't be able to.
Which brings me to my point. How do I remove the FAN discount from my account? I'll just add it on tomorrow after I get the iPhone...
