IT WORKS! And you do not need a FAN on your account to do so. All I said was my IT department of my university gave me this as a feature code since the iPhone 3G cannot use a fan discount (it is because my iphone is my primary)
they wont ask you where you got the code but if they do, tell then that your employer's HR department gave you the info and that your colleagues have this as well.
I dont know if your on a premier plan or not. The simplest way to find out is call at&t and when you punch in your number, you should heard, "You've reached Business Customer Care..."
I was told this was only for messages sent between business customers...
Not 100% sure, just what the rep informed me of when I added it.
I got a call back from AT&T to finally fix the port on our 2nd number (2 iphone family plan) - actually she called asking for someone named Elmer because the stupid at&t people from yesterday were trying to port it to the wrong account or something... anyway she got the port straightened out then I asked her for the text plan. I was away from the computer and couldn't remember the code (I think I said b2b1500) then I mentioned TMS4. One way or another she was able to find it and she dropped the $30 unlimited text from our plan and added the $8.99 for 1500 to each of our two lines. w00t!
This really does work, I have had it for a few months on my original iPhone. I also have 350 bonus minutes per month and discounted international rates thanks to codes like these.
I have tried two different times and I still can't get the texting plan put on. What do I need to tell them? Obviously I am not saying the right thing.
Thanks.
are you a premier member ? I honestly dont remember SOC code working on a non premier account but I could be wrong.
Dont ask them, just tell them to add it.
"I need to add a SOC Code B2B1500 to my account. My HR department has given out this code so that we could take advantage of company text notifications."
The line about would work in a business environment
The primary account holder has a FAN# so I am assuming I would qualify.
The last time I called I told them the company gave us the codes. She told me that the Telecom manager from my company would have to call and setup the discount with the code.
She went on to tell me that she is not authorized to give the code. I told her how there were plenty of representatives who were able to authorize the code. She told me that those giving out the codes would be losing their jobs because they are not authorized to use the code.
That doesn't make sense since you are the account holder and person paying the bill. Nobody else can call to ask for changes in your account but you.The primary account holder has a FAN# so I am assuming I would qualify.

for my company, Att rep is saying that the code does not apply.
It says the code exist, but she is saying that each company has list of whats included or not.
and that is not included.![]()
