What a joke kid. Can't think of a better excuse than that? Bias? Seriously?

I'm sure if T-Mobile was rated first, you and the rest of the T-Mo crew would be foaming at the mouth and parading it around.

How is it biased? Just a few years ago, T-Mobile was near the top for customer service. Now they're a bottom feeder with Sprint.

Who cares? Is customer service not important anymore? Just because T-Mo has poor customer service, you're just gonna ignore it?

Yup. They're quite the powerhouse, for sure!

Largest 2G network footprint by far! Smaller "4G" HSPA networks than the big 2's LTE networks! That is so revolutionary, isn't it!?

Consistently one of the least reliable networks nationwide in almost every major city, as tested by RootMetrics (partner of T-Mobile FYI.) That is so revolutionary, isn't it!?

These are just BS statements right? Not facts!? ;)

Maybe I should clarify. It's an ocean of EDGE with a few islands (smallest 3G network in the business BTW) working, fast service.

There are no excuses in the world for T-Mobile to still have wholes of EDGE in major metro areas in 2014. I've personally witnessed these holes all over the Northeast.

Your constant lack of technical knowledge is hilarious. You're the exact kind of person that T-Mobile loves. People who eat their marketing BS right up and preach it, like the bible.

Go on! Keep talking on about LTE-A and 2x20, especially when you have no idea what most of it actually means.

Again, wouldn't it be common sense for people to leave T-Mobile if T-Mobile is supposedly "an ocean of EDGE with a few islands of HSPA+/LTE" and if people actually drove there or not. Instead, T-Mobile is actually gaining customers. Why complain about T-Mobile if you know AT&T and Verizon are much bigger than T-Mobile and who are famous for over-charging for everything and milking their customers..

Again, as I stated in my previous post on your BS on T-Mobile, I do not know everything about cellular systems, but you should really be aware that I am a 16 year old male.

Your BS isn't going to help anything out, only fuel the fire. And again, no one absolutely cares on what you think about T-Mobile, especially since you have ruined your reputation on being the absolute #1 hater of T-Mobile on Macrumors.

“We used AT&T’s cash to build a far superior network and added ‘un-carrier’ moves to take tons of their customers – and now they want to bribe them back,” Legere said. “I’m flattered that we have made them so uncomfortable!”

Oh, this is great. Just like the T-Mobile boys on here, Legere casually overlooks the amount of EDGE out there and how small their 4G/HSPA network really is. Not to mention, their reliability.

What about breaks for Longtime Victims, I mean customers?

I hate that once these weasel companies lock you into a contract they think they don't have to do anything to keep or maintain your business. I think I may switch to a cheap option like Cricket once my contract is finally up.

That is cool to hear! But unfortunately since Sprint is the one buying Tmobile they will probably turn it into a useless CDMA network so you like most Tmobile users will be out of luck. Of course this will not happen overnight, it will take years. GSM networks lead the World, would be a nice idea if the Sprint Spectrum was instead used to enhance Tmobile's GSM network.

Yeah, this merger talk is worrisome. Finally a GSM network and international phones that work together, and, they are probably going to mess it up somehow. There is more to competition than just within the U.S. -- I love T-Mobile's new international roaming approach. I wish T-Mobile would buy Sprint for its spectrum rather than the other way around.

Cricket is going away soon. Id stay away.

New customers have to sign for mobile share plan at AT&T (this is the only option AT&T offers for new contracts).
2GB Data + Unlimited talk and text = $95 before taxes. Compare it to $50 from T-Mobile. That's $45X24 months (contract) = $1080 - $450 credit = $630 or $315 loss per year for this move (pre tax).

Every additional smartphone adds $40 to the plan and shares this 2GB, unlike T-Mobile where you get additional line with 2GB data for $40 (goes down by $10 for each additional line).

and at&t would throttle even if u sign up for unlimited data

Where have you been? This has been the case for almost 2 years now.

They throttle at 5gb (LTE)/3gb (3G plans)

that was special…….the T-Mobile hater calling on T-Mobile fans…….
Seriously Autounion39….do you work for AT&T? Cause you sure do get your feathers ruffled at ANYTHING that even smacks of a positive mention for T-Mobile….seriously do you work for AT&T?

Yeah man, I work for VZW and AT&T! The amount of BS being thrown around by T-Mo's marketing is downright pathetic.

Makes no sense. How can T-Mobile pay over $21.6 Billion dollars (Softbank's takeover cost) to buy Sprint, if they've only had two positive quarters in the last few years?

Of course AT&T is the much larger network, but you are missing the point of this. Let me fix the bold letters for you...

“This is a desperate move by AT&T on the heels of what must have been a terrible Q4 and holiday for them,” Legere said in an email to Re/code. “Consumers won’t be fooled. … Nothing has changed, customers will still feel the same old pain that AT&T is famous for. Just wait until CES to hear what pain points we are eliminating next. The competition is going to be toast!”

And you're casually overlooking a key lie told by Legere.

How exactly is their network "far superior?"

You didn't answer the question….you just deflected it with an accusation. Do you work for AT&T? Pretty simple question…...

I'm not overlooking anything. I'm not even arguing that it is far superior as Legere said. Although, it is far superior to my standards because it makes the most business sense for me, that is I save tons of money by using them, I'd give you that is an embellished statement. However, the only one overlooking and ignoring the other 90% of the factual statements is you.

Too little too late AT&T...Im with tmobile now for a year...will be staying...their unlimited data is irresistible.

Haha beautiful. I'm glad I don't have to see messages like this anymore and can actually use my iPhone without counting megabytes. Just used 9GB last month.

Leveraged buy out; how do I know?

Why do you disparage ("hate" as the youngsters say) T-Mobile so much? Honestly, I have tried all the big players and T-Mobile has been by far the cheapest for me and my family. And, good coverage in my area. YMMV.

And you're casually overlooking a key lie told by Legere.

Well, it is cheaper for one thing. No commitment required. No phone locking. You can swap compatible SIMs and phones.

I call it "freedom".

A lot of you people seem to have some really strange stockholm syndrome-esqe attachments to your cell providers o_O

Seriously, this is some creepy ****...

Anyway, I'm all for more competition. So, "yay!" I guess...

I absolutely love T-Mobile. I've only been a customer since early October, but they have already paid off in leaps and bounds. I spent the holidays in England and France, and the unlimited text and data ended up being a godsend. I had rented a car in France and to be able to use my Google Maps app on my iPhone 5S was awesome!

And although the original reason I switched was because I hated the slow data speeds on the Sprint network, the unexpected surprises have surely made me a T-Mobile fan for life! (And I also get a 15% discount for my place of employment).

Even if Sprint buys them, which I am sure seems very likely, perhaps that will allow Sprint to use the GSM network and keep the uncarrier plans!

Such a great experience with T-Mobile thus far!

:):):)

Agree. TMobile is great for people who travel frequently overseas....

I have this answer to AT&T: No. :p

T-Mobile USA's US$70/month unlimited plan for "bring your own phone" is way more viable, especially now with the cheap unlocked prices for the Google (LG) Nexus 5 and Motorola Moto X and G models. Sure, you don't have the LTE coverage AT&T has, but outside of a few applications do you really need LTE speed on a phone? I have a Samsung Galaxy S III on T-Mobile and I've seen speeds as high as 25 megabits/second on HSDPA+, more than enough for clear streaming of even 720p videos.
