Is anyone consistently getting HSPA+ speeds on their ATT 4S? I have yet to see anything past 4MBps on my 4S after travelling to multiple cities in the US.

Not sure if it matters but I noticed that when I first got my 4S I had pretty low ping times when doing speedtests' (<100ms) but lately everything has been 100ms+ and the speeds have been quite lackluster. I did verify that I am on the HSPA+ apn (phone) on my 4S.

From yesterday

I average 5-6Mbps here in San Antonio. Rarely has it been less than 5.

I regularly get between 6 and 7 Mbps on my iPhone 4. That pic is definitely not HSPA+ speed

Why not? The 4s only shows 3g, even if it's HSPA+. I also have an AT&T Shockwave that shows H+, and it averages the same in my area.

Highest I've seen so far on my iPhone 4S was when I'm in Manhattan. 7.91 down and 2.19 up.

I average around 3 down and 1 up in my area, about an hour north of Manhattan.

I'm in Manhattan and haven't seen anything close to that, the highest I've seen is about 3Mbps...

It is HSPA+. We have it in my area.
Your HSPA+ speeds are just faster than mine, that's all.

My 3GS was barely pushing 3.00Mbps.

Here's mine. Located about 30-40 miles from Detroit where the server is hosted.

Coming from Android...why does the iPhone have such a humongous ping time? I had pings of 10-50ms on Android devices.

The speedtest.net app for android is horrible and innacurate. Theres no way you'll get that kind of ping on a cellular data connection.

Fastest I've gotten is 9.05 Mbps in Columbus. I regularly get 6-8 downtown.

First one is typical for Manhattan. I was nice and didn't pick the one that was 0.00/0.00. The next one is my record in Connecticut, although now 4.5-5 is typical.

I live in a so called "4G" area and I get on average 2mb down and 1mb up. Once in a while it will spike from 3-5mb on the down. This is what AT&T calls "4G". More like 3G with some marketing attached.

On my SGII I regularly see at least around 7mb down, though the past week or two it seems to be around 3-4 down moreso. The 4S shows similar speeds on hspa+ down here.... either way much much better and faster then 3G, I don't think my 3GS or 4 ever cracked 1mb down.

Took this snapshot yesterday, pretty good considering the network usually seems congested between 12-3.

This is from the day I got my 4S; I was sitting in a drive thru. It seems plenty fast when using it with with much better connectivity than I got with Sprint so I have zero complaints. :)

Regularly get 7-9 with 10+ every so often
