**AT&T iPhone 4 Order Status Thread**

Its crazy that I just woke up at 3am, checked my status and it was Game!!! , what a new toy coming in the mail can do to a grown adult lol 🙂

So if its shipped the 22 and it says next day air, that mean im getting my puppy tommrow or the 24th?

You aren't alone there. I preordered via Premier at 5:22AM EDT on 6/15, and that's exactly what my AT&T order page looks like...

So good news on our two orders. First, my wife's order through Premier finally has the backorder "1"s, dropped. Looks like hers will be shipping soon. And two, received my tracking info from my in-store purchase at AT&T. Shipped through UPS.

Wondering if any AT&T orders will be arriving early on the 23rd? That would definitely alleviate some strain on activations, which is exactly why I think they are releasing them early.

Yup mine looks exactly like yours. I ordered at 11:30 AM PST on the 15th. It shows up on att as the 16th though. I'm really starting to worry I won't get it by thursday.

honestly, no one here NEEDS to have their phone on thursday. its not the end of the world. But I just think its plain retarded that a lot of us got up early to pre-order, many of which has problems doing so, and we're still completely in the dark while others who aren't "premier" all have shipping info and could possibly get them as early as wednesday. If i knew I was going to spend more time checking the order status page than actually being excited for the new phone, I never would've bothered.

I'm sure we'll get them thursday but I still think its not right that there is tremendous discrepancy between everyone's orders.

Right there with y'all. I placed two calls this past afternoon to AT&T Premier (the second being necessary after the first claimed they had too many calls and promptly hung up on me). The rep, James, stated that the backordering simply meant that they order hadn't been shipped yet, and that the "order date" of 6/17 isn't an order date per se, but the date the order was finished processing, hence the backorder status. He told me not to worry, and that I should have my phone by 6/24, but words can only go so far, e.g., a tracking number related to a "Shipped" status would certainly do more to ease my anxiety.

In the meantime, iOS4 has certainly improved the response time on my 3G. Looking forward to playing with it on my iPhone 4, though...

The thing that's frustrating about this whole process is that nobody seems to know how ATT is distributing these iPhones. There seems to be a great deal of inconsistent information coming from the ATT customer representatives as well. It's apparent by now that its not on a first come first serve basis. I just wish I knew one way or the other if I should expect my phone on thursday.

Mine says shipped and has a tracking number, which takes me to Fedex, but the site doesn't recognize the number. I noticed that in the carrier column, "FI" appears. Does anyone know what that is/means?

What's with the order number format? I ordered through Premier, and my order number is

66-215****589-2

I censored out the middle 4 numbers so I don't get hacked.

Some people don't have the dashes?

I just got a tracking number posted to my ATT tracking page. Ordered around 3:30pm on the 15th, central time. UPS already had it in their system and said that they've had it since 6AM yesterday. So, people shouldn't be worried it's taking ATT so long to get the tracking in the system, your phone may already be on its way and ATT is just slow getting the information in.
