Ive actually ordered mine through premier, actually, all of my AT&T orders are from the premier site. My monthly discounts run through them as well.

It is Monday in China/Hong Kong right now. This seems plausable.

Possibly from where it is shipping from etc?

AT&T Premier

I ordered mine through AT&T Premier. If I check the order on the Premeir site, it tells me that everything is being processed and nothing is marked back order. However, when I look at the order via the normal AT&T site, it says it is on back order. I ordered mine on the 15th at around 10 am Pacific. Is anyone else seeing this discrepancy? They have already charged my card. I saw a link on like page 35-36 of this thread that talked about how if your order does not say back order, it has been matched to a S/N of an iPhone and will ship with the first batch. If it says back order then it may go out with the 2nd or 3rd shipment.
 
I dont think that UPS is delivering these considering all the articles I have read. But you never know. One thing I do know is......I want my iphone so bad I cant stop checking my order status on a SUNDAY!
 
Sounds too good to be true. No one else in here has that status yet and a lot of us ordered from AT&T before he/she did. On the confirmation page at&t said it's shipping FedEx unless you work for the other companies.

Either way only time can tell so we shall wait and see what happens on Tue/Wed.

I've seen another photoshop job from the ATT forums where someone tried to pull the same crap! Nice try though. Prove me wrong and I'll gladly eat crow!
 
Yah, it seems as if we can throw out the time people submitted their order because there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to the sequence people's orders are getting processed.

I ordered before a lot of people that have posted on the 15th, but mine still says backordered. Even though on the Premier site it says I ordered on the 15th, the regular status page says my order was submitted on the 17th. I could care less other than I hope I get my phone on either the 24th or 25th. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride because this is completely out of our control at this point. 😎

For what it's worth, my receipt says "Shipping Method: FedEx Overnight." This suggests two things. 1: AT&T will ship with FedEx; and 2: they won't ship until the 23rd for delivery on the 24th.

I completed my order at 5:30 AM eastern on the 15th. My order status has always said 6/15 and has never showed Back-Ordered. I didn't receive a confirmation email (entitled "Your Recent Online AT&T Order") until 9:00 PM eastern on the 16th.
 
I ordered mine sometime in the morning of the 15th but when I log in to see my order status it says I ordered it the 16th. So far is hasn't said backorder but it also hasn't shipped yet either. Makes me think that I may not be seeing it this week.

I'm in the same boat as you, same details, exact times, your order is pretty much a mirror image of yours.....

This is crazy!

I called ATT today to confirm my order, because my AMEX has still to be charged or even show a pending charge. Got nervous with reports of canceled orders.

I was assured my order was in the system (ordered 6:00 a.m. EST the 15th)
and would definitely receive it on the 24th via FEDEX.

I have a 15 year old who's buying my 3GS calling every day! He is more excited than I am!

Question: are any of you going to bother with upgrading your present phones to OS 4??
