I've never had a backorder (*knock on wood*), mines been sitting on "In Progress" since 10AM, 6/15.
Ditto! Did you pay with debit/credit or an actual credit? I hope mine doesn't get canceled in the next few......
My order was never in backorder, I guess I was pretty lucky for that, let's hope it shows up on release day, cause I need to be there to sign for it. My one day off....

Evening, first post here. I just wanted to share my story as well...
I got mine last year after what seemed like forever. See below pic. AT&T never updated the shipping page until after I received it. I did get it on release day! I think the same people that update the USPS tracking page, update AT&T's page! 🙄
This year it seems the same. I ordered through Premiere at around 2:45 PM EDT on the 15th and email at 3:08 EDT. Premiere site says I ordered on 15th, processing, updated on 17th. AT&T.com says 16th and still back-ordered? I hope that everybody gets theirs on the 24th! My fingers are crossed!!

Do you take pre-orders? If so, can I expect a complete and utter clusterfvck of incomprehensible statuses that change back and forth and give me absolutely no clear indication of when to expect my wedding dress? What happens if more than 600,000 people order wedding dresses when I order mine? Can your ordering system handle that? If not, should I expect my wedding dress sometime in the fall?

Don't worry everyone I just got my iPhone off of back order so everything is going to be OK. I also called At&T and they said I had nothing to worry about even if the date says the 16th. Just go to bed this week thinking about how nice its gonna be to have your new phone on Thursday.😀
