Mine is in Memphis as well as of 1am. It says next day air, so conventional wisdom says tomorrow when something is shipped next day air, it comes in tomorrow. I doubt it though.

AT&T iPhone 4S Pre-Order Status Thread

Interesting! I'll be happy if I get a package at all on Friday, and interested to see if it's white or black. Another complicating factor with mine (and perhaps why I can't view my order status online or by phone) is that I had to change my address they had on file during the ordering process. So... being 1) over the phone 2) unsubsidized and 3) with a change of address, I'm quite worried that my order might not end up getting there on the 14th.
Wish it was like last year when I got it a day early, but no tracking info yet.
with next day air, i'd say there is still a small chance of it being delivered tomorrow (UPS says their next day air service delivers around 10:30am) so we should know in less 12 hours whether we'll be asking our phones about the meaning of life tomorrow or friday
Fedex tracking still not functioning. However, I'll accept that since the warehouse location gives me a better chance to get it tomorrow than if my phone was in Memphis...
I'm looking closer at my tracking page and it says it was shipped using Next Day Air with typical delivery on the Next Business Day by 10:30am... Should I be reading that as tomorrow by 10:30am or Friday as planned??

Even though I am a UPS'r and know where mine is now... I would rather be a Fedex'r and have my phone in FtW as I am in Dallas... might actually get it tomorrow.
if they're deploying the airplanes right now, then i dont see why we wont get them in the morning. if not, then friday it is

Att.com 2 seperate orders Friday 10/7 4:30am- 4GS 16GB White with Premier order confirmation emails. Emails Tues night thanking me for orders also says items should arrive by 10/14 & tracking info email to follow. Emails Wed afternoon orders shipped with tracking info.
Order info from att.com updated Tues night both Shipped Fedex 10/10 with tracking #'s. Order info from Premier updated we'd afternoon shipped with same Fedex tracking info.
Fedex no tracking info & no reference using phone # either.
CC temp auth no longer listed with no charge on CC yet.
If they really shipped on 10/10 Fedex like my att.com order info says then I do believe I will get them a day early again like last year

Has anyone not gotten a shipping notice at all? No number, no nothing? How many others are in that boat?
I ordered at 9AM EST over the phone on Friday and haven't received any notice. I have a pending charge still (that has been on there since the 7th) and the order is listed as "in progress" according to ATT CSRs (I cannot view it online for some reason or via any other automated process).

I just got my shipping confirmation email as well.
Says it was sent at 9:45 but it didn't show up in my inbox until 12:05.

My order just arrived at the last waypoint before the airport eight miles from my residence. The tracking status still shows Friday as the delivery date.
But that's exactly how it was last year. Then the next morning the date was updated to that day and the phone arrived at 9:40am. If history repeats itself there'll be an iP4S for me to sign for in the morning.
It'll will be good to get this over. I'm eager to focus on the next model. I'm so tired of the diminutive display after over a year with the spacious displays on my various Androids.
It high time for Apple to give the iPhone a fresh modern sized screen. I'd like nothing better.

I pre-ordered my 4S at nearly 8 PM Central on the Saturday the 8th and my phone now shows shipped
I don't see why one would make something like this up, nor do I see why you would be so skeptical of people here. Anyway, this is not my post above...but to "prove" it for you...

Weird. It says 1am on the 13th, but it isn't even 1am on the east coast, much less in Memphis. I am not sure what that means. Mine says it is shipped next day air but does not give an expected delivery date. I assume it will come Friday, but I am hoping for the best and it gets delivered tomorrow.
There is also a possibility Apple put a hold on all these shipments that they should not be delivered till Friday. Otherwise, it should come tomorrow.

Finally got my shipping email from AT&T around an hour ago.
Tracking # still not in UPS' system.

Either way, since they are claiming it's 1 A.M., the next business day would be Friday. If it's on the plane now, it has to arrive at the local warehouse, be scanned in, loaded on the truck, etc...sounds like Friday to me.
