I am almost 100% you will get it earlier than the 16th. Last year people had ship dates of November and got them on launch day. It just seems to be a shortage of the 64GB and that's all so AT&T will probably get a shipment soon full of 64gig iPhones. Every day since Thursday people have been getting plenty of tracking numbers and people that had that ship date got theirs yesterday. Don't worry ok? It will be here before you know it just don't lose hope!

Just don't lose hope! We are all in the same boat as you! Every day the number of us on here that don't have a tracking number decreases! Just check here a couple times a day and see what phones are shipping for others! You will have your phone in no time!;)

I just chatted with CS and this is what they had to say. Take it with a grain of salt:)
Me : Do you happen to know when the phone will ship this week sometime?
AT&T : One moment.
Me : I got an email from att saying to activate the phone i bought but the phone has not even shipped why would I be getting this email
AT&T : The email was most likely sent in error. I apologize.
Me : ok well some other people I know got the same email and in the same situation as i am. It's not your fault i just would lkie a tracking number and the phone to be shipped:)
AT&T : Unfortunately I am unable to see if you were one of the first customers to place the order. You are placed in the queue based on when the system fully processes an order. It is not based on when you placed the order.

I totally agree They have no idea what they are talking about and it mumbo jumbo.. Very frustrating

I think they should have set the delivery date to Christmas or March 14th, for that matter. It's a bit ridiculous to set a far away date and then claim, we promise to ship by the indicated date. It's a stupid arbitrary number that has no bearing on reality other than to say, **** and go away, until then

Here's a little info for y'all since mine just shipped.

-my account has not been charged again since the initial hold fell off
-I did not get that activation email before mine shipped. In fact, I still haven't gotten it
-I know some people that got their tracking Wedn and Thurs and FedEx showed they had the phone since the 20th. Mine shows Fedex got it today. About 10 minutes before I got my tracking email

when did yours ship today? i'm just trying to see if i still have hope for today
 
I'm going to have to be honest and say it depends on the plans. I just can't justify spending the extra $40/month it would cost me to leave my grandfathered plan. :(

Of course if they kill those plans between now and then, I'll be ordering through Apple for sure.
If they kill the grandfathered plans between now and then I'll be switching companies
 
I wonder if the different shipping address is holding me up
Did you use the address that was on your billing card? If not then your order has to go through Fraud Protection. That's what a CS rep told me because I changed the address
