I've accepted that I'm not getting the phone tomorrow. What I won't accept is that a company the size of AT&T can't get their **** together enough to keep people informed about their damn orders. I just got the following bs response from AT&T *cares* on Twitter.

Hello, I have reached out to another department and all the 6s Plus have an estimated date of shipment of 25-30 days from date of order. The shipping date that shows on your order status of 10/16 - 10/23 will be the accurate shipping dates. I also ordered the 6s plus and my status states the same.
they tweeted me that exact same thing. which is BS because the 6s+'s have shipped. they should plan ahead because they KNOW we're all going to bug them about the shipping dates. i don't know why they don't have ONE ANSWER. ONE ANSWER IS NOT THAT DIFFICULT. ekk. they're starting to get under my skin. but seriously. get your reps on the same page.

Do yourself a favor (all of you) don't bother calling ATT - they are dumb and have no info other than telling you to piss up a rope. Save yourself the aggravation.
 
Alright guys a little hat tip. I was so frustrated and out of options that I went to twitter and sent a direct message to ATT cares. They responded ASAP and said they'd help out. I told them that I didn't receive an update and they said they'd look into it. 10 minutes later BAM the email is in my inbox that my order was shipped. They again sent me a private message saying that they could see my order was shipped. Now I don't know if it was one freaky coincidence or if they managed to do something but I would suggest trying that for those who are really desperate. (I was).

I ordered the space grey 64gb 6s Plus on Sept 12 11:52pm. It literally was JUST picked up by FedEx at 1:08pm today so don't lose hope.

I actually did the same. And came up with the same result! I finally, FINALLY got my tracking number. Everyone out there, if you're concerned, try reaching out to the ATT Cares Twitter handle. It works.

what is the point of pre-order at that point my chances are higher going to apple or at&t and getting in line

it's the same every year. Don't fret, mine was moving long before I got any notification. In the end almost everyone will get theirs on time just like every other year.

I'm getting the distinct feeling that I made a mistake ordering the Gold 128GB 6S+. I mean, it's the one I wanted, but there appears to be some supply issues with this one. Oh well...
 
I noticed the plus models show late October to the first week of November for new orders at ATT.com now. Do these estimates tend to be conservative? New orders might be only 2-3 weeks out instead you think?

I word in a call center a few years back. your probably not even talking to a AT&T employee when you call.
 
If the phones are still in Ft. Worth or Memphis, the cutoff time will vary depending on sort times, distance to destination, etc.

If "my" phone is in Ft. Worth, they could theoretically get it on a truck by 5pm Central and get it on a package car for delivery to me in KC tomorrow. That's assuming it would make the sort. IDK when FedEx uses planes rather than trucks. YMMV depending on distance.

The AFW-MCI (Ft Worth to KC) route is run by a truck. There used to be a flight, but I don't believe it still operates.

ATTCaress was worthless. They just read from the website I have been checking. Then they gave me the link to that website.

It may help that I reached out to them on Preorder day as well about this issue. The girl who responded kept in contact with me throughout the past two weeks. For what it's worth, she agrees that this was poorly handled by AT&T.

The AFW-MCI (Ft Worth to KC) route is run by a truck. There used to be a flight, but I don't believe it still operates.

Do you know about Ft Worth to Chicago ??? I expect plane.. ?
Mine is already on its way here. :)
However, they changed the delivery to 8pm tomorrow.
Before it was until 3pm.
 
Wow I just got an email from Att and the thing that popped up in my screen said "the wait is over" and it was an ad for their home automation crap. **** u At&t. 128g Gold S+ ordered 11min after I thought preorders opened, obviously they started a bit earlier. Still no update..

That's the one thing that still bugs me. Though I haven't received my tracking info yet, I remain optimistic that I'll get that info today or tomorrow and get the phone maybe tomorrow, but Monday at the latest. But the communication has been really really horrid. Clearly they were aware that at least some of the Pluses would be going out on time, so why did they tell everyone that ordered one that it wouldn't be coming until mid-October? And why would they keep saying that even as people start getting their shipping notices? Why not just make the original estimate 9/25 to 9/30 or something? Or heck if you really want to give yourself a cushion tell people it'll be an extra week but they told people it was going to be almost a month which just really makes no sense.

I dunno, I'm kind of over being upset about it... but that is likely to change the longer I go without a shipping notice. For the moment, I am optimistic that everyone that preordered on the 12th, especially people that stayed up late or set their alarms to be among the first in line, will have a new toy tomorrow.
 
The weirdest part of this whole thing is that it does not seem like first come first served, which would make the most sense. I would not be surprised if something like the RG was constrained for a little while, but in general things just seem totally off the wall. My phone shipped (6S+Gold to NY) so I am in the lucky camp, but I can totally feel for people waiting since the whole process feels more like playing the lottery than anything else. I think a lot of people will still end with phones tomorrow, the system just seems totally overwhelmed.
 
My phone just departed Memphis and will be arriving in fabulous Las Vegas tomorrow! :)

I ordered an iPhone 6S 64GB Space Gray on the 13th. Order status updated on the 18th. Received a tracking number 23rd.
