BeWARE!! People bailing to Best Buy ... After you make your reservation.. Take a look at their disclaimer about launch day arrival.. ".... available on or AFTER release day.."

My credit card was charged by Best Buy. When I purchased. So I hope it's available for pickup on Friday.

There have been Best Buy employees here who have already said this... and I have friends who work for Best Buy as well (one is a Shift Supervisor for Mobile).

They cannot fulfill every preorder. The "get it a launch" doesn't change... It just shows the date the phone will be available. They have no idea how many phones they will have neither.
If last year is worth any comparison, they had 2 iPhone 6 pluses for AT&T and Verizon each, and thats it. So some might get lucky, but I feel that if you're betting on a store thats not Apple or a Carrier to get your 6S+ be prepared for a major let down.

More iPhones for us though!

Was it a 6S or a 6S plus that you purchased? And was what was charged on your card just the tax for the NEXT plan?

Also I was very interested to see at Best Buy online that they were offering AT&T 2yr contract subsidized pricing as something that could be purchased there too. I thought they were only available through AT&T app/web. Maybe Best Buy was the best kept secret this year.

If you can afford to preorder at Best Buy and keep your AT&T preorder. Then cancel the order that doesn't ship or is not available for pick up first.

If you are a Next customer. You can finance the iPhone through Best Buy. It's deferred interest for 12 months. Equivalent to a next payment plan with AT&T. Then next year you can buy straight from Apple and sell your older iPhone.

At least that is my master plan. Lol

The reason why I thought it was a surer bet was that right in the window where you choose the phone - several of them ( Rose gold 6S pluses ) left blank the availability line. But when they were available the line read "available for pick up 9/25". That's false advertising if they don't have my phone on Friday.

Best Buy only offers Next , cash, debit or credit.
Not even sure what you mean there. Next is a type of plan… Cash debit or credit are payment methods. They have nothing to do with each other.

Best Buy was also offering 2 year contract for AT&T. You can go there and see for yourself.

I have always been let down by Best Buy for preorders. The one good thing about needing to purchase from AT&T is that in no way will I be tempted to deal with Best Buy again.

Wait! So isn't that the same way with Apple and NEXT?

Best Buy does not offer a 2yr contract purchase option for AT&T; only for Sprint and Verizon.

last year it did come from the US vis ups, i dont know if they have to register the phone to the system so when you turn it on out of the box it will automatically update.

last year i lived in chicago, now currently i am living in San Diego, i would presume the carrier would be ups. i think verizon has a contract with FEDEX. and ATT uses UPS

I've just been lurking and following the hilarity in this thread but just wanted to chime in on this. I got my 6 last year from ATT via Fedex.

… Thanks for the clarification. You could be right. I saw the subsidized pricing but I wasn't necessarily looking to see the AT&T in the parentheses next to the phone. I'm sure you're right.

So do y'all think we will start seeing tracking information go out tomorrow or are they going to wait until Thursday to give them to us?

You have a choice of using your next upgrade. You also have a choice of paying the full price.
