Orange 17 Pro Max arrived today. Blue tracking shows delivery tomorrow.

Missed the delivery by 10 or so minutes. No option to pick it up tonight or tomorrow which is mildly annoying. Called and checked the app
 
I have 6 lines on my AT&T account and all 6 of us are doing the trade in deal. This is how it’s gone so far, all orders via AT&T.

* 9/12: Wife and I order Pro Maxes, order placed shortly after 8am (Silver & Orange) - est. arrival Sep 19
* 9/14: In laws wanted Pro Maxes as well, orders placed (Orange and Blue) - est. arrival Nov 7 (!!)
* 9/19: Phones for my wife and I arrive (yay)
* 9/21: Son in college decides on a regular Pro, Silver, order placed, est. arrival 10/7 (full month earlier than in laws)
* 9/24: Daughter in college decides on a Pro Maxes, blue, order placed, est. arrival 10/22 (exact model as one ordered 9/14)
* 10/9: Son’s Pro arrives (two days past eta, but within window)
* 10/22: Daughter’s Blue Pro Max arrives, exactly on time but the same color and model I ordered for my in law - 10 days before I ordered this one - still hasn’t shipped!

What exactly is going on here? I trust we’ll get the phones but this is just goofy, why ship them not in the order they were ordered? Are they slavishly devoted to their estimated ship date? So strange.
