This in a country that thinks 20 rolls of Scott bath tissue at 14 bucks is a better deal than 12 rolls for $7. People will not be able to do the math on this deal with the phones either. Customer service will sure get a workout though!

I'm just going to stick to that occasional deal to buy one package and get TWO free on English muffins, and keep my iPhone 5c which is now out of contract. I still get the discount they give before you cave in and upgrade to a Next arrangement. And 4GB data now instead of 2, carryover, no change in rate, 70-something bucks a month. What's not to like. Only thing could tempt me now is the rumored 4" 6C.

you can only get the free iPhone for a new line according to the AT&T rep, not upgrading an existing.

Right, I could upgrade my existing line to get the first phone, but I'd have to get a new line to get the second phone "for free". And in my case, I'd lose that monthly discount I now still have even off-contract for not yet having upgraded to a Next plan. So I'd end up with two new phones, one of them "free", but I'd also have two monthly full-price bills offsetting some of that "free" phone's monthly rebate. Um... let me think about that a second. Nope. Love my 5C and a $70 monthly bill.

Who would take this deal except maybe someone who's finally caving in and letting a kid have a phone for first time, otherwise seems like too much outlay for the freebie.

People actually can solve a Rubik's cube blind folded . It's actually pretty crazy

Off topic but that's actually not true and, with a normal Rubik's cube, completely impossible. They solve it while looking at it. Then do the steps blindfolded. I know it seems like it's the same and it is still amazing but it is quite different. There is just no way to do it without looking at it. Unless of course you are blind and it's a braille cube. Sorry for this just had to say it, I don't know why..

Actually you are the one who's wrong. And just search Rubik's cube blindfolded and you would have known it is possible and people do it. They have 15 seconds to study the cube as is once jumbled then they solve it blindfolded. Sorry for this just had to say it lol

FWIW, I did this last night.

I was switching from Verizon so the "new lines" only thing wasn't an issue.

I got...
$200 credit for each line because I am currently with ATT-UVERSE
$100 credit for each line for switching.
$200 credit promised for each 4s i'm trading in ("it just has to turn on")
Two 6s/64GB

I had to pay the tax on the two iphones up front (~$150), and I'll have to pay an extra $100 for the 2nd iPhone when NEXT plan is up on the one I'm paying for.

Seemed like a no brainer to me. It's basically two free phones and the cost and plan is approximately equivalent of what I'm paying now. Plus AT&T has better coverage in my office building.

Seems like the best offer out there
It is.

It's also a cleverly crafted plan by Apple to shore up its gradual weakening iPhone business. Not to worry Apple's got lots of ways to save the iPhone.

They_knew_ eventually the popularity would fade. Apple is very well prepared to weather any storm.

So, can anyone confirm this works on AT&T's website as well? I only see marketing info for the Samsung Galaxy phones

Sooo in other words they do exactly what I said they do. Thanks for confirming that...

Quick question, does the requirement for a new line mean a new cell number or can you port your existing number from another service (e.g Sprint) and would that count as a new line?

Umm no. They do the exact opposite of what you said.

What do you suppose they are doing while they look at it. They are solving it. And then they perform the solution while blindfolded. What would be the point in looking at it?? YOU CANT SOLVE THE CUBE WITHOUT LOOKING AT IT.

You have yet to show me proof or video of any kind that shows what you say. I have seen plenty of example on the web of professiona puzzle solvers study a mixed cube then putting it back together without solving it first. Just saying

They are solving it in their heads. How do you not see that. Then they are showing their work afterwards while blindfolded.

I think is see the problem. You are defining solving as the sequence they go through to put the cube back together. I define it as figuring out what sequence is.

What is 2+2? If you know the answer tell me this. Is it solved before you write it down on paper or only solved once you write it down on paper?

Maybe I'm wrong, but I have yet to see any real cube competition where the person gets to solve the cube first then put it back together blind folded. That would be too easy for some.

In my experience with official competition the cube gets jumbled, the contestant doesn't see the cube until after its jumbled then has a limited amount of time to study the cube before the blindfold
