Yeah. Before my order number was 17 digits, now all of my orders are 4 digits then 10 digits.

I don't think that's it though. If I log into the Premier site, I get a 17 digit order number starting with 1012.... and if I log into just ATT.com, I get a 4 digit-10 digit order number. So two numbers for the same order on the different sites.

But your information makes sense as someone else mentioned that an exec at ATT had said that there will be quite a few overnight deliveries. So let's wait and watch.
 
Is it me or does it seem like the west coast of California has gotten no updates or tracking numbers? I'm in Northern California and my order hasn't budged shipping dates since Saturday!!! Had early October when I ordered on Friday then Saturday moved to thanksgiving!!!
 
I wouldn't worry too much about order numbers. That is how it has been since the beginning. My order number from the initial email was always different from the one that was on att.com/wirelessorderstatus when logging in with my phone number on the left form. The right form would always lead to a page that showed the original order number. I think everyone has two...

Yeah, I feel like I have always had both numbers ... unless it really was shipped out on the 15th like many of these others yet I haven't received my shipping info.

It's showing that my package never left Louisville and that the shipment delivery date is now unavailable...anyone else have this happening?

So I just called the order status customer service line (1-877-782-8870) and according to the automated messages, "the item from your order is currently back-ordered and will ship as soon as it becomes available."

I am so close to canceling my order it's not even funny.
I placed the order through AT&T Premier at 12:01am PST and finished the process by 12:08am. No crashing, no lag, nada. I didn't receive a confirmation email until an hour and half later. A day or two after, I received a text saying something about my order is now being processed. The money has been removed from my avaibale balance on my American Express.

I am so done with AT&T. If it wasn't for me not having an upgrade available and having to use that shared upgrade crap, I would have just ordered through Apple.
Seriously never doing anything through AT&T again. Completely ridiculous.

Also, I'm in Southern California. San Diego to be exact. Looks like we got the short end of the damn stick.

When did you receive your tracking number?

Are you a premier customer?

What was your original shipping window?

I got my tracking number yesterday at 11:30 AM (Pacific). Not a premier customer, not ordered on Next plan and have a grandfathered unlimited.

My shipping estimates were 10/02, then slipped to 10/21, then changed to back-ordered, then to 10/02 again.

I ordered thru AT&T right before the official launch time AND I also had my order put on hold because my bank thought it was a fraudulent charge. I got that cleared up about 3 PM (Pacific).
 
So if the phones are coming into the US via UPS, how are they getting over to Fedex? Seems like the ATT orders have been shipping FedEx and Apple orders UPS.

I don't think it's apple is just doing one and ATT is doing the other. I think Apple made deals with both. And I have been seeing both on ATT orders...

I ordered 11:59pm, 64 GB Silver with premier and received my confirmation email at 12:03am. I'm still stuck on the 10/2 ship date. I'm in Orange County, California.

But honestly, I haven't seen anyone on numerous boards have a tracking number yet for California for the Plus from AT&T. So I'm still somewhat optimistic we will receive the phone even without a tracking number. But what do i know :)
 
My ordered changed from pending to pre-0rder processing, the cancel pre-0rder button returned and the hold on my credit card dropped off after a week. 0rdered the 64gb sg thru premier at 1:20 mdt received confirmation email at 5:22, so I got screwed by 4 hours. Looks like I will stay stuck on 10/2 for now. I am in Utah.

Ya Cali orders got screwed, you would think we would be first since Apple is based out of Silicon Valley. No love for the home team

It seems like the entire west coast is without tracking numbers. I'm in Portland and haven't seen any for my area.

Same here, but I think we are the ones to get it delivered with out seeing tracking numbers till after we get it..
 
WTH is going on...

My order is missing. FedEx tracking showed iPhone was in FORT WORTH, TX on the 13th, but from the 14th on it says "No record of this tracking number can be found. For more information, please contact customer service. at 1.800.GoFedEx 1.800.463.3339". The FedEx people say there is no record of it.

Almost same time as you here. Got a 64g silver and 64g d&g, both pluses. I find it extremely hard to believe that is cali people would just get screwed like this.
