I had an interesting time today with the phone that I cancelled through ATT and ordered through Apple... i tried to upgrade swap so i dropped past an ATT store and it took forever..I then decided to just call ATT from the store and I was on the phone with them for an hour and a half... they couldn't get a sim to work in the new phone because it was almost "locked" to the upgrade number... anyway..finally got it working and I LOVE THIS PHONE
 
Well as most of you pre 12 pacific orders.... I didn't get my phone today so I called my local radio shack and asked and bam..... they had one.

I now have a 6+ woohoo. They got 2 Pluses today even though the Best Buy in the big town near me got none.

One thing is for sure. I will never order online from at&t again. I'll just wait however long it takes for the Apple Store to come online.
 
I'm curious what shipping dates AT&T would give someone who ordered a 6 Plus today. I like to think that if someone ordered one today and got the 11/09–11/27 window, maybe they really are just guestimates and not actual ship dates.

(I'm certainly not trying to defend AT&T. If I could I would definitely cancel my order and order through Apple, but there appears to be no way for me to do that. I don't see any cancellation option when I log in to my account.)
 
after tweeting my frustration with ATT, one of their support care professionals reached out to me, Raul. While Raul didn't share anything earth shattering, I did enjoy his professionalism. My main issue was that I felt like ATT should have come forward and made it known that they had a problem. Had they come out and said yep we dropped the ball on the premier orders and we are looking into it so that we can figure out the root cause, then I think people would haven't been so extremely upset.

Raul agreed and said he knew that this was in fact happening and mentioned they had received a fair number of complaints about it. To be honest it sounded as though they are in a middle of a s*#t storm. Which I hope so because otherwise nothing will change.

I did appreciate the call back and his apology, nice to hear from someone intelligent enough to grasp the situation and be able to explain what is realistic. Here's hoping it gets resolved and we all have our orders ASAP.

I'm going to do the same. Every two years since iphone came out I have always gotten an iPhone on launch day. This is the only year where I'm so lost.
 
It really sucks to pre-order an absolutely great phone and be left for sometime next month or two. My delivery date is 10/2-10/13* I ordered Sept 12 after hiting refresh a zillion times once the ATT timer finished. Usually when people do this kind of thing it is to get things first, some need a smartphone badly others want it for comfort but man, a phone that could of had been mass produced a couple months beforehand from one of the most valuable companies in the world is stated for delivery some time this year and paying a premium over any other smartphone just leaves you thinking why would anybody want to spend a cool 1K on a phone that you will not be getting anytime soon and that will most probably be replaced by an upgraded version next year? :apple::apple::apple::apple:
 
Since my phone isn't coming today I stopped by Best Buy tonight to get a hands on feel for the 6 plus. It fits well in my hand, and my hands are medium sized, lol. I made the right choice and having a chance to get a close up look helps even more to patiently wait.

No 6+ SG 128GB on Premier for me today...

Ordered at 3:20AM EDT, or 20 min past the official opening bell. Was at 10/31 and knocked back to 10/2 about 5 days ago.

Same here! I stopped by Best Buy to play with an iPhone 6 Plus and I am more eager to receive mine now. :)

Yep. I know next time not to order from AT&T. If Apple's site was freaking working like it was suppose to, this wouldn't have happened. I never had a problem getting my phone on launch day. Both companies dropped the ball.

Same here! I got anxious with it hitting 4am eastern time and Apple Store still down. So I did what I thought was best at the time and ordered through AT&T. Never again. What a joke operation AT&T is when it comes to handling a preorder.

I bet I can walk into a random store by then and just buy one. I'll be checking stores soon.
 
Why do I keep checking my order status? I must be insane thinking it is gonna change. Maybe I will get a shipping # by the time the 6+S comes out next year.
 
I played with a plus at best buy today also. Even next to the 6 it almost looks like an iPad micro. I am a little nervous over the size, but not enough to switch my order. I know after a week I'll be in lust with it and will never go small again
