AT&T Pre-order status iPhone 6 Plus (only)

I would like to believe this. If only they hadn't so conclusively proven that they will say just about anything to shut you up.

It does make sense though. At this stage in the game, believing this eases my mind....

Hey all. Figured Id update. I'm a 6+ 3am preorder oct2 ship date guy through premier that got royally screwed with no tracking. Went to a small att store in detroit at 6am and was first in line. Got #1 of 2 6+ they had in stock. 64gb white (instead of the SG I preordered) been using all day and loving it. My SG preorder is still on its way (I used another lines upgrade for this one.

I email Randall the att exec that someone posted the info for last night and got a call from someone on his staff. No explanation as to why the premier orders were jacked. Just an apology. I already had my plus so I wasn't too upset. But man they need to get their crap together. Thinking about switching to T-Mobile in the future.
 
I bet AT&T will Ship it October 13th and will use the cheapest shipping method available so we'll get it about a week after that, which will make it a month after launch day.
 
My order still can't be found when I search for it online. yet when I call they say it will ship in 14-21 business days. I have no way of even tracking my order that might not even exist anymore. Bravo AT&T.

My question for you is should I just try to cancel my order (is that even possible?) and try to get one at either an AT&T store, Apple Store, Target (where I reserved one last weekend) etc or wait it out. Of course I have to make sure I get my upgrade back (how long does that take?) otherwise waiting in line for one would be a complete waste of time. Your feedback is much appreciated.

I was able to cancel and in the 45 minutes I waited at best buy to get the 6 they were able to apply the upgrade. I took one look at the 6p and realized it wasn't really a phone I would put in my pocket as a phone :( I have a nexus 7 for tablet. I am liking my 6 just fine :) I don't need the icons to turn sideways when I rotate the screen.
 
It's humorous the peeps in here attempting to convince themselves they didn't really want the 6+ anyway since they canceled their preorder. :p
 
haha It wasn't because I didn't get mine today that I cancelled. Best buy employees had them out and about (not tethered to a stand) so you could hold it and try to use it. it didn't fit in my jeans. I do NOT wear skinny jeans:D
 
Glad you have a sense of humor about these things.

My wife has a 6 and it fits the hand nicely. I've yet to hold a 6+ (thanks ATT) so it'll be interesting to see just how large it is.

Guess I'm gonna go down the a couple apple stores first thing in the am and see if they got any more shipments in and try my luck that way. Cancel my pre-order and pick one up if I'm lucky. I bet sometime by next week, before my 128 SG ships I'll pick one up around town like I've done after every release for every iphone I've ever got. Never doing this pre-order thing again.
 
I checked out the 6 Plus at the Apple Store today. I've got to say...my wait For the Plus is definitely worth it. I just wish I wouldn't have been shafted on my preorder delivery... Thanks AT&T:cool:

Anyone have an opinion on the Galaxy note 4? Got an email about a preorder starting today and I figured I may get one of those sooner. If not it will at least give me another forum to follow when this is done. In all seriousness looking at ditching Apple and att now.
 
Walked into my local AT&T store at 2pm today and they still had 50 iPhone 6's available. They however only had 7 6 pluses in their entire inventory.
 
Well as most of you pre 12 pacific orders.... I didn't get my phone today so I called my local radio shack and asked and bam..... they had one.

I now have a 6+ woohoo. They got 2 Pluses today even though the Best Buy in the big town near me got none.

Well at least there's 5 more planes headed to Louisville right now; maybe some of us will get phones tomorrow or Monday
