Stupid thread has resulted in talks of how you carry your iPhone....

Sure does seem like there was very little action today on the shipping/delivery front. Hopefully things will accelerate into the evening.

Ordered around 45 minutes after pre-orders went live, email confirmation almost immediately.

Remember, they have to:
a) Get distributed from their arrival locations to the AT&T warehouses (most commonly, from Louisville KY to Fort Worth, TX)
b) Get processed at the AT&T warehouse
c) Warehouse will match a phone with your order and notify FedEx of shipment
d) get a tracking number back from FedEx
e) notify customer of shipment

Hey guys I may have missed this questions from page like 25 or 122 but how do you guys even know those are planes that are carrying iphones??? Are you guys just basing it on the fact that its coming from china and flying into one of the known shipping ports for ATT??
I ask this because even the phones from Apple are flying the same routes..... I'm just looking for clarification as to how you guys know this.
I'm a long time member of MacRumors and a short time member of the sad lonely SG 6B plus squad.

Yeah, agreed, it's just that where is the line between sensible and not when it comes to putting it in my pocket and sitting or squatting or bending over? I won't have to do that very often, but there are times like when I'm at work where I might have my phone in my pocket and I need to bend over to clean a spot on the floor or pick something up behind a desk or whatever and I'm wondering now is it safe to risk it all?
To help summarize today for you...

CSR's from AT&T told different customers different lies.
We had two people say they cancelled and went with a 6 and then listed reasons justifying the change.
Planes that landed in Alaska carrying iPhones may be headed to Russia for the global launch and not for us.

Why did there have to be phones available on Saturday when I couldn't cancel because premier was closed? I could have ordered online and picked up at my apple store. It was such a cruel joke.
We are debating if geography has anything to do with shipping I believe. There are at least 6 people including me from Indiana on this thread who have not received their phone and all had ordered relatively close to each other time wise. This trend seems to spread across the Midwest at least (Excluding a couple in Chicago I believe)
I ordered a 16gb SG at & a 16gb gold both a bit after midnight and still stuck at 10/2-10/13 I'm in so Cal as well.
Can you do this every 8 hours and email it to everyone please? That would be a most welcomed bit of public service!
