AT&T Pre-order status iPhone 6 Plus (only)

Let's say we get no positive indication we will get our phone on 9/19. Can we line up on an att store and if you get a 6+, can they cancel preorder, reverse the upgrade, and let you walk out with the 6+ from the store?

ATT premier order numbers. All my 6+'s are set for 10/02/2014. I ordered my 6+'s between 2:51-3:07AM EST. The numbers actually appear to be counting down. the later the order the higher the number. my

1016130004139984* 2:51 order number

1016130004138398* 3:07 order number

i ordered mine just before midnight and the first four of my premier order are 1018.....not sure what any of that means tho lol
 
Ordered a Space Gray 64GB 6+ at 3:31am EST after almost giving up in frustration after sitting with my iPhone and my MacBook furiously refreshing the Apple Store site and app every 30 seconds. Had to screenshot my order page which gave a 7-10 day processing estimate.

Received my confirmation email around 7:30am with 21-28 business days to process. Expected ship date - 10/31/14 - 11/11/14.

Received 2 texts in a row Saturday morning at 9:28 that my order has been processed and that I'll be notified when my order is shipped.

Checked my order status Sunday morning and found that my ship date had been bumped up 18 days: 10/13/14 - 10/22/14

Cautiously awaiting another bump - every other Apple pre-order I've done (3-4 in the past few years) has gone a lot smoother than this debacle.
 
Think about it. If the stores are getting the 6+s, what makes you think they don't have them in their warehouses?

It sounded very believable. The stores are receiving or cartons shipped via Fedex/UPS/DHL. a couple hundred at a time. The shipping depot, is receiving full cargo containers with 10's of thousands.
 
Apparently the 10/13-10/22 crowd is growing.


Ordered space grey 128 gig at around 3:40 EST when ATT somehow let my order go through, still says preparing for shipment, dates haven't changed. I don't check the updates anymore as much as I did initially, as I'm almost positive I won't be getting the phone anytime this month. The most we can hope for is that we get bumped up a week or so.

Would suck if it gets pushed back even further, but at this point I'm at the mercy of ATT.

My husband and I ordered both of our upgrades 6+ phones (his space gray and mine the gold) RIGHT at 2am CST. Our order keeps changing, and it just changed to "Preparing to Ship" as of yesterday afternoon -- est. ship date Oct 13 - 22.

After reading what you all have been posting on here (THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS 6+ ONLY), it sounds like we will all HOPEFULLY have a better idea of actual ship dates by later today, or sometime this early week. The only thing i'd be very upset about, if it's "already shipped" when it hasn't been and I don't receive my phone in a decent amount of time (being preggers and want to get my phone in time before my due date!). I was planning on going to the AT&T store and wait in-line on Friday if our account doesn't say "Shipped" so I can try my luck at getting our phones then.

Did anyone have this issue when the iPhone 5 came out?

Keep the updates coming with your AT&T account, email/text notifications, etc.! I think this will give all of us a better idea if AT&T is figuring this out.

Not sure anyone else noticed in reading through this thread, but it seems like everyone that got an October date (10-02 or 10-13), had their dates switched.

It also seems that everyone that says they got in before the official time, went from a 10-2 to a 10-13. Those that got in right after showed a 10-13 and now show a 10-2. At least on the 64GB, that seems to be a very consistent trend evident in this thread.

Mine moved up, as I was just after midnight with my order.

I got in before and my date has always been 10/13-10/22. That blows your theory right out of the water.
 
Fox had some At&t rep on the news this morning saying 6+ preorders won't ship until mid-October, doesn't sound right, but just a heads up.
 
Also, thank you OP for making this 6+ only. It's confusing when others are getting their phones on the 19th when we all know by now that the 6+ is in short supply and thus helps us all get a good idea about our orders.

Nope. I've had 10-2, then got moved to backorder, then back to 10-2.

As much as some people wish this were true I've seen no evidence that AT&T is "punishing" people for their website not working correctly and letting people in early. For the most part the people that ordered first have gotten early ship dates.
 
I got into the site just before 3ET, but placed my order after. 128Gb, silver. Never received a confirmation email, so I went into the store at 9am. My order was showing there, but I still haven't had an email. I ordered my husband's regular 6 (64, SG) while I was in there and got an email. I'm showing shipping for 10/13-22, and his is 10/13-31. They both went to backorder for a time yesterday, then back to our original dates. This is our first preorder.

Yes! I second that. I was getting so annoyed by the regular 6 orders because they were complaining, but yet they were receiving their phones Friday -- :mad:
 
Am I the only person who hasn't gotten an estimated shipping date? Besides the email that said it will ship in 14-21 business days, when I check the status online it just says 'In Progress'. How long after orders were placed was your status changed to reflect an actual delivery date? Also, unlike most on here, there has been no kind of authorization hold on the credit card I used. I ordered on Friday when preorders started yet I still have yet to see any kind of activity on my credit card account. It makes me think there is a problem with processing the order.

Not here. I started at 10/13, moved to backordered, then moved back to 10/13. (64GB, Gold)

Exactly the same details as you except I got mine submitted at 3:21am. Same phone, timing on texts and ETA. Hang in there brother!

When did you place your order? When I login to my account underneath "Shipping Date" it gives Oct 13-22 (estimated). I received a text message that evening after ordering my phone (2 to be exact -- repeated). The date did say "In progress" like yours, but changed since Friday evening.

exact same as me. I hope to be bump up to september.

I recall having minor issues when the iPhone 5 first came out, but nothing to this extreme.
I would suggest to all of you guys, if you don't have one already. In creating a UPS and Fedex account, by doing so, as soon as a shipment is created to your address, you will be notified by UPS and/or Fedex by email if there's any shipment being delivered to you. This is free, it's called my UPS choice for UPS for Fedex it will be under Fedex manage or something like that.

:) Thanks! I was wondering about this too! Did you come home to accept the delivery, or did you have it "pickup at UPS/FedEx"?

Ordered just briefly after 3 AM EST. There was an issue with the first credit card I gave and got an email the next day saying I needed to update my card info. My status changed to 'Action Required' and it said my order would be canceled on 9/20 at 12 AM EST unless I updated my info. Turns out you can't use a card that has a different billing address than your AT&T account so I had to give a new card. My status then changed back to In Progress where it has been since yesterday, but no actual date listed, and still no activity on my credit card.
