AT&T Pre-order status iPhone 6 Plus (only)

I've got two 6+'s pre-ordered:

1.)
iPhone 6+ Silver 128GB
Order Time on AT&T Site: 3:03EST
Item Status: Preparing to Ship
Shipping Date: 10/13/14-10/22/14

This one switched to "Backordered" yesterday and then back to "10/13/14-10/22/14 again last night.

2.)
iPhone 6+ Slate Grey 64GB
Order Time on AT&T Site: 3:10EST
Item Status: Preparing to Ship
Shipping Date: 10/02/14-10/13/14

This one switched to "10/02/14-10/13/14" from "10/13/14-10/22/14" yesterday and has stayed that way since.

No notifications on UPS My Choice yet. Very curious to see how this plays out. I guess the 128GB models are either in lower yields or higher demand?


EDIT: Oh, and these are premier orders, if that matters at all. Don't fully understand how it would.
 
Well I'm still at the 10/31-11/11 bracket. Mine hasn't updated since Friday. The tax payment I made in my account is still pending. This is so frustrating.
I also preordered the 6+ sg 64gb at 10am Friday

I work in retail so I know the answer to this. When a shipment is created by the company, as long as your registered UPS customer, UPS matches the information entered by the shipping company to those customers registered though UPS. So when the shipping company / sender creates a UPS LABEL, UPS will notify the receiving party that a shipment has been created.
 
6+ 64GB Space Grey (Premier)

Order complete ~ 3:05AMEST #1014 (no hyphen for me either). Confirmation page did not have shipping estimate but confirmation email @ 4:27AMEST said 14-21 business days.

Friday AM- afternoon order status showed no shipping date, pending process/preorder confirmation. Late PM changed to 10/13 - 10/22. Sunday AM it changed back to no shipping date, pending confirmation. Late PM Sunday it went back to 10/13 - 10/22 and is still there.

AMEX had two $1 pending charges, then the full amount pending. None have been changed into a full charge.

I'm hopeful but doubtful I'll receive my phone this week. Next time I'm waiting for Apple to get their poo together.

SAME HERE! I stayed up late 9/12 to preorder and told my husband in the morning, baby may arrive before iPhone 6+ even ships, haha. Crossing fingers we will all find out more about shipping dates/tracking numbers within these next few days.

I've also signed up for UPS My Choice and FEDEX Delivery Manager just to see if they update before AT&T does. So far, nothing new.

Preordered around 12:45am PST via AT&T 9/12 - iP6+ 16gb Silver - Current order status via Premier email link "preorder processing" expected ship dates 10/13-10/22, prior to pushed up shipping dates I was in the 10/31-11/11 batch. myAT&T order status summary "preparing to ship" with expected ship dates of 10/13-10/22.
 
It seems by reading all these threads that ATT is the only carrier not to issue tracking numbers already for the plus. But have read a lot of ATT users go through this same thing for every other iPhone launch in the past and it come on launch date. Just wish we weren't in limbo. This is my first pre order and it sucks!!

Not necessarily. I ordered early and got a 10/3-10/13 estimate. Only moved to back ordered briefly yesterday and went back to the dates.

Good luck ladies. I had a similar situation with my wife when the iphone 5 came out. I managed to get her the phone two days before my daughter was born. I had a happy mommy, beautiful daughter, and two brand new iphone 5's. Can't get any better than that. :)

Not to burst any bubbles...

But I'm guessing the dates are correct.

This is my 4th go around with AT&T and iPhone "pre-sales".

The shipping times are always crappy for online and in-store "pre-orders."

It is highly annoying when you are waiting patiently for your order to ship...days....weeks...months....and the people who go to the store on release day start posting pictures of their pretty new iPhones.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
And yes.. it will happen.

AT&T already has your (and my money) in their pockets... So they will use in-stock merchandise to boost sale's reports. :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

And for full disclosure....I ordered a 128 6 plus at 3 am for full retail price from the AT&T website.
I have an October 2 + shipping date. :(:(:(:(:(:( It updated a few days ago.

I will also be standing in line at my local AT&T store on the 19th.
I'm covering my bases this go around.:cool::cool::cool::cool:
 
My best friends 128 gig silver 6+ still says 9/19. Mine did too until I had an att issue and had to cancel my apple order and order through att. Now mine says November. :(
 
So having just read apples "record breaking" pre order numbers, they sold 4 million in 24 hours. Absolutely amazing until you realize that apparently they didn't even have 5% of what they expected to sell this year ready for the launch. (Based on the fact we are all stuck waiting)

I fully believe they do this intentionally to make it seem even more in demand. I mean a complete phone of both sizes was done in working order and in that Korean rappers hands to leak months before launch.. Between then and now, let alone sooner they couldn't garner 4 million units? (Those numbers include the regular 6)

From what I can tell the orders have been roughly 50/50 - what they have essentially done is ostracized a large portion of potential pre orders for next year and damaged their own numbers. I know I won't be pre ordering again.

I can't think of a reason for a company not to have as much stock on hand as possible if they thought they could sell it.

Same problem with me. Got the confirmation email, and my status still just says "in progress", with no charge to my credit card. I talked to AT&T on Saturday though, and the rep said didn't mention anything that may be wrong. Very frustrating, for sure.

Here are my 2 cents:

I pre ordered iPhone 5 from AT&T and had the similar problems as we are having now.. That time I was very impatient and ended up canceling my order and standing in queue at  store.. Although I got my phone first day, it was not of my choice capacity.. My friends who were patient enough to not cancel their order, got their orders on first day.. So that was a huge waste of time for me and I ended up with a 16GB phone instead of 32GB..

So this year I decided to be patient till the end.. But situation looks much worse this year.. Here are my order details:

iPhone 6 plus 128 GB Space Gray..
Ordered around 2:50 am EST..
Got a confirmation email after 5 mins I placed the order..
Got 2 confirmation message next day morning..
Right now dates are 10/13-10/22..
Always stayed the same except for back ordered temporarily yesterday..
Nothing on UPS or FEDEX..

My order starts with 1012 in the email I got, it has no hyphens..
When I check my order on AT&T wireless using my phone number, order number starts with 5283..

I am patient this year but probably won't get the phone on launch day..

Well they have your "committed" dollars and they usually have new 2 year agreements that keep people who pre ordered from going into the stores and buying a phone on release day.
 
I preordered a 64GB 6+ around 430am EST. Got my email confirmation @ 5:15 am EST.

My original delivery dates were 10/13-10/22 but yesterday it changed to 10/2-10/13 for me.

Here's to hoping for sooner deliver for all of us!

They don't have my committed dollars because I don't have to pay for pending charges. And I don't have a contract at all.
