The icing on the ATT iPhone Plus back ordered cake is that my current bill, due before the estimated ship date of 10-2 to 10-13, has the $40 activation fee on it. When I "chatted" with CSR she said the activation fee gets put on with the order no matter how long it takes to get your phone. Hmmmmm … I couldn't get away with running my little business like that.

If you call the 877 # and it does show processing. Then yes you should get tracking info shortly later in the day. It happened to me and others. I should have my phone today. It's on the truck for delivery now :) keep on checking the 877 #
 
According to 866-391-0749 my order has been processed and been sent to warehouse for shipment.

That's the status I've gotten all along, even when the est ship dates were 11/9-11/28. Last Friday my date changed to 10/2-10/13 via check order status online, the 877#, the 866# and per text message from ATT Order Status, however, per check order status via 611, I am back ordered. Very unhappy to put it mildly.
 
Called the 877 number this morning and to my surprise it changed to processing from back order.

So before I went to bed at 1 AM, 877 and web sites all stayed the same (Backorder, processing, etc). Checked at 4:30 AM when wife wakes up and still the same. Checked when arrived at work and there it goes!

Just to recap:

Ordered around 5:15 AM EST 9/12 64 SG+

Have been in the 10/2-10/13 slot for about a week

Also no updates on either Premier or regular Web Sites, will update as things progress

My contract was supposed to be up November of this year and I checked it yesterday and now it says 2016. Wtf!

I used Next so my contract WOULDN'T be extended. What the hell is going on?

Heatherselway! Do not give up hope! I know you are probably sick of hearing that but I gave up all hope last night, I never though I would get my new phone....Checked the 877# last night before I went to bed and it said Backordered....I woke up and it now says Processing. You should be getting somewhere very soon!! Hopefully the same happens to you tomorrow morning, it will say Processing! It seems the 877# mostly has some action during the night...
 
Crazy... you ordered some 4 hours after me.. and getting your's first.

3 AM EST was the earliest for us east coast folks, so about 2 hours after opening

But I fully expected not to get one launch day (I did the 2:30 AM thing for the 5 and swore to not do it again as people were still able to preorder for launch day at 8 AM)
 
Here's what i've experienced...

had 10/2 ship date forever said prepairing to ship never changed.
finally got email yesterday from at&t about account and welcome crap.
showed shipped Fedex this morning, still now email from at&t and not showing on myfedex app until i put in shipment number.

good luck everyone... patience in knowing that they are actually moving :)

How quickly you guys have forgotten that, for the most part, only non-premier customers got phones on launch day. AT&T has spent this week playing catch up with the premier customers they screwed over. Why does the non-premier thread seem dead? Because the large majority of you guys already got your phones.

Also, you guys actually have the option of going to the Apple store, yet you made the choice to stick with AT&T given their questionable launch history. Many premier customers aren't allowed to buy from Apple, we are literally forced into ordering from AT&T exclusively.

The large majority of us did NOT get our phones on luanch day! I ordered at 12:01 PST and I have seen nothing! There are MANY of us in the same boat. I am still listed as backordered on the 877 number.

We ordered from AT&T because the Apple Store wasn't open and didn't open until 3 hours after the AT&T site. Trust me, had we known AT&T was going to flub it this bad, we would have chosen elsewhere and waited.

All that being said, do you really think it makes sense to ship someone's phone to them that ordered hours after I did before they ship mine to me?

No, I don't. I also don't think it makes sense to take a customers order at 2:55 am eastern time on 9/12, then claim you did not receive the order until 9/15. The point is, AT&T has screwed over a lot of customers. It's not about premier vs. non-premier. Premier customers are not getting priority. And if you think more premier customers received phones on launch day than non-premier, you weren't paying attention. Just because you, specifically, did not get your phone, doesn't make this fact suddenly false.

Same here. I ordered waaaaay before some people that have received the same exact phone I ordered. Anywhere from 15 minutes to a week difference.

I was paying attention, and I agree that more non-premier customers got their phones on launch day than premier. There is no arguing that, but to think that it takes a week for premier to "catch up" is a bit ridiculous to me.

I think we can all agree that ATT has come up with a way to piss everyone off equally all at the same time :D Which is quite a feat!!!

My contract changed to 2016 also but was supposed to end round this time in 2015. I wonder when I pay they Next contract will I be contract free.

877 # response to my order. ATT.com still has the same pending shipment crap. Been stuck like that for probably 14 hours now.
 
This might sound silly....BUT!

Last night I paid my wireless bill ($40 Activation Fee included in bill)...& my order went to Processing when I called the 877# this morning.

....Coincidence?

Maybe if ATT sees that you paid the $40 Activation Fee, they will expedite the process....
