Does FedEx deliver on Saturdays? & is a signature required for this package?

I believe they will deliver on a Saturday if it's overnight shipping. I also think a signature is required. Don't hold me to either. If my FedEx guy ever shows up with my phone today, I'll ask him.

----------

So annoyed right now. What the hell is going on!?

Did you manage to get through to premier to a rep that could actually hear you?

Finally got a hold of someone on the premier line. Didn't give me anything. Just that it was "preparing for shipment," like it has been for the past week and when I mentioned other people who ordered hours after me receiving their orders, she said "I don't know about that"

Waste of time, but she did say nothing was wrong with my order on my end, so it's just ATT being retarded.

Did you manage to get through to premier to a rep that could actually hear you?
Yes, soon as that guy hung up on me I called right back. Read post above

I am right there with you. AT&T just doesn't care, premier or not. I am pretty sure they are just throwing darts to see who gets their phones.

Pretty much seems that way.

I spoke with ATT and they said "we are waiting for the phones from apple". "They come directly from Apple, not us." When I asked about the first come first serve policy she said "just because you ordered the phone at lets say 3:30AM doesn't mean we got the order at that time. There were millions of orders coming in at the exact time and various factors influence when "WE" actually received your order on own end." She also said that many husbands and wives ordered the phones at the same time and most didn't get them at the same time or didn't get them yet.

That's the closest to making any sense of all this that I've heard.

Does make sense. Wish we actually knew a time when the order was "actually" received by them instead of the time stamps on our emails and orders.

Then for the future they should never have said "First come, first served" such bull crap. What did they expect? Only 10 people ordering?? The sheer amount of orders should not have been a shocker or an excuse for them sucking so bad at this.

Ordered the 16GB 6+ space grey about 20-30 min after pre-orders started (2:30 AM CST). This at least gives SOME insight to the premier vs consumer issues.

Lindsay: Your device is pending shipment in our warehouse, it will be shipping out soon.

Lindsay: Generally, the shipping time frames are just an estimated shipping date. Until the orders have shipped we are unable to guarantee the delivery date of the order.

Joshua: That isn't the question I asked though. I want to know what method AT&T is using to determine who gets their phone when. It certainly isn't by order time. Is it based on geography, population of service area, length of time as a customer?

Joshua: Some other criteria?

Lindsay: It is based on the queue you are put in when the order placed, there are two different departments you can be placed in, Premier or Consumer. Also the shipping date is estimated on our inventory levels.

Joshua: Well that is helpful. So are the premier customers being serviced first?

Lindsay: No, they both have their own queue. It is first come, first serve, in both departments.

Joshua: That's the part that doesn't make sense to me. Unless several people have lied to me, I have spoken with a lot of people who ordered well AFTER me, same model and color who have received their phones

Lindsay: The people who have ordered after you are probably Premier customers.

Lindsay: They have probably ordered first in that queue which is why they got their device.

Joshua: Alright, then how is it determined which phones are assigned to which queue?

Lindsay: The phone doesn't matter. It is placed when you place the order and which queue you are put in to.

Joshua: Right, but people who are premier and ordered after me are getting the devices. I am asking when AT&T gets a shipment of phones in, how is it determined which ones go to those in the premier queue and which go to the regular queue

Lindsay: Premier are customers who have an employee discount, when they submit their order, it is automatically placed with Premier. Their order number will be different than Consumer customers. I am not sure when another shipment of phones will be updated in our inventory.

Joshua: You are either not understanding or avoiding my question. Lets say there are a million people in the regular queue and a hundred thousand in the premier. AT&T gets a shipment of fifty thousand phones. How many phones are assigned to each queue

Lindsay: I would not know that because our inventory levels are not updated. In Consumer, we get our own shipment of phones. With Premier, I am not sure how their process for inventory is. I only work with Consumer orders that have been placed online.

Joshua: Well I guess I'll just wait some more

Lindsay: You will be getting it much sooner than your estimated shipping date.

Lindsay: Do you have any other questions?

Joshua: Well that's good to hear! No that's all. Thanks!

Lindsay: You are welcome, have a great day, Joshua.

For anyone wondering about the 877 change from back order to processing, mine changed but it took almost 24 hours to get my shipping info. Don't give up hope everybody, it will happen.

The fact that I had SOMETHING update was enough to hold me over for a few days.

But if yore right, then maybe I'll having tracking by 10pm tonight and delivery tomorrow? Man that would be great for the weekend!!!

Hang in there guys! I was in the same boat yesterday with everyone and their mothers getting their phones shipped, except me. With the luck I have, I really thought AT&T was going to screw me more than usual. I preordered (6+ 64GB SG) on the 12th at 1:28am Pacific Time. My original ship dates dropped from November to the dreaded 10-2/10-13 dates. My status on the 877 number changed yesterday at around 6am when I called to "In Process" but no additional changes were noticed. Until, today!! My iPhone has now shipped and will arrive tomorrow by 3pm.

STAY HOPEFUL!!!

Still sitting and spinning here in SEMO, and yes I am Premier and I ordered before midnight on the 12th.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

They really messed up the pre orders. It seems the later you ordered the faster your order was processed. So first come first serve didn't apply.

Much sooner huh? That IS good to hear but the question is...How much sooner? This just sucks every way you look at it. The whole separate queues thing was easy to follow but as you stated that still doesn't explain how someone in the same queue as you who ordered after you got their phone before you. She was basically chocking it up to delays going over the "interwebs". At least it seems like that's what she was trying to say. Basically that is all done by computers and she has no control over it.

No signature required. If the driver feels it is safe, he will drop off the package, if not he will bring back to the hub.
