Hang in there. I thought it would never happen and then in less than 24 hours I went from Backordered to shipped!
I've been lurking here since pre-order kicked off and thanks to everyone on this thread and the other AT&T thread. It's quite sad but we have been like a pre-order support group for each other. I'm sure for many it's helped passed the time until our phones come. For those that did order on launch day and are awaiting our phones I feel the momentum and I think we all need to get those celebratory beers ready!!

My credit card pre-auth went away after a few days and cancel button came back. I had been trying 877 phone# (877-782-8870) last 5 days and last night went from Backordered to Processing -- pending tracking number as of this writing.
I hope a lot of us who expressed our loyalty to Apple by getting up early and ordering on launch day gets rewarded with crisp white Apple boxes arriving in time for the weekend!!

To be fair, because of where I live, and because ATT training sucks and I had to go back to the store on a different shift, and because it took them 2hours to put in my order, I didn't get my order in til 5PM on the 12th. Previously, I have still gotten em on launch, but not this time.

I have a tracking number!!! It says "QTY Ordered - 1 QTY Shipped 0" and my tracking number does not work yet but there is a tracking number...so I guess I will be sitting here hitting refresh every 5 seconds for the foreseeable future.

The AT&T forums are too hard to keep up with since they changed their format. I don't like it. This one is much easier and a lot funner!!
I am non preme and I just got my backordered changed to processed or processing not sure im just happy it changed for the first time since the 12th.......But now I am worried it might not get here by tomorrow.
And FedEx just leaving at the door step is very risky. In San Jose some guy was following around the UPS truck and stealing packages left on door steps. How can they not require a signature....BS if you ask me.
I don't deal with FedEx, anybody know if you can have them hold it at the depot so I can go get it instead of waiting all day?

64 GB Space Grey here. I finally went from backordered to processing. Haven't checked in a few hours though. I refuse to drive myself crazy anymore. Twice per day is my limit. Morning, and late afternoon. lol.
I called the 877 # this afternoon (around 5pm EST) for my 64GB SG 6+ and it FINALLY said processing. I ordered around 11:00am EST on 9/12 (had a family emergency which is why I wasn't able to order earlier). I know that doesn't guarantee shipping...but I was happier to hear that than BACKORDERED yet again.
