FYI on delivery. Make sure you or someone is home. The delivery does not require a signature, so if you are not home, they will leave it at your front door.
Just checked the 611# back ordered..and the AT&T app "preparing to ship"
BUT guess what's on my new bill???? A $40 activation fee already... Shouldn't that be charged when I actually get my phone?!?!

They call that "activation" fee an "upgrade" fee so they can tack it on with a order. Sucks, I know I tried reasoning with ATT that it should not be charged on a back ordered phone and got nowhere tried 3 times.

9/12 7:42AM: AT&T Email - Confirming order, order status, order is being fulfilled and estimated ship date of 10/13 - 10/22
9/12 4:52PM: AT&T Text - Processed order and sent to warehouse for shipment
9/18 10:21AM: AT&T Email - Order Status, still confirms shipment dates of 10/13 - 10/22
9/18 - 9/26: Constant checking of status order online, calling the 877 #, and reading this forum in hopes of getting the phone on launch date or very soon after. Stress and headaches occurred.
9/26 10PM: Called 877# once again and this time instead of the woman saying backorder, she now says processing!
9/27 8:44AM: AT&T Email - iPhone has shipped via FEDEX! Tracking number provided and estimated delivery date of Monday, 9/29!
Theres my story. I hope it will help those that are still waiting! Good luck to all. They are coming, have faith and patience! This will be the last time I order from the AT&T website; I will now be ordering from Apple.com

The other carriers may require one. I know that Apple requires one and AT&T does not.
877 Number went to order processing - same expected delivery dates 10/31 - 11-09, no change on the website - is that normal. Happy to see some movement !!
Once the 877 # goes to processing you should receive a tracking number within 24 hours. Congrats!

Just an FYI while strolling through a local Target here in Texas yesterday I asked if they had any iPhone 6+ in stock and to my surprise they did. A few Targets in the area have the 16gb in a couple different colors still available, or they did yesterday.
Finally!! The 877 recording just went to processing. Crossing my fingers for more movement today!
Anybody on here from Philadelphia or surrounding areas get delayed by ups? Mine was suppose to be delivered on 9/26 but it got switched to 9/29.
