I'm still stuck with the infamous "back ordered" on the 877 number..
Ordered a 6 + 16gb gold at 6:05 AM eastern time.

I checked this morning and nothing. My DH and are taking the Orange County Bus To a lovely place here in Ca.named Balboa Island. Something we can still do by ourselves. We have a lovely Chinese Restuarant there. Anyway, it will be a great distraction from the phone. I'm going to try not to call until I get home tonight. 😎

Mine was picked up Friday, and now for some stupid strange reason it's just sitting in Memphis, Has not moved since yesterday at 8am. Did yours go to Memphis first? I'm not liking this, standard overnight means overnight. Not go to a farther state for 2 days to chill out....grrrrr

Balboa Island is part of New Port Beach, CA. We take bus to Balboa and a ferry across to island. It is something we can do by ourselves. The kids would take us but we want to hold on to something by ourselves. A little advice. When we are asked how did u stay married 62 years, that's how. We do it about once a month. Love it.

Since the item is coming overnight.. they're staging it all in Memphis to be put on planes today to go out tonight.

Another thing. I decided this phone will no longer control everything we do. My DH has to go to VA this week and I'm setting it up for Tuesday. Not worrying about when my phone will come. This whole back order thing has become crazy.

I'm going to recycle my iPad 2 and my iphone 5 and just use my new iPhone. I wish I had ordered the 64 instead of the 16 but I'll be okay. My DH has so beautiful 27 inch Mac.
Seems so. I am going to try to enjoy my day, and I'm not calling 877 until I see someone on here with a "processing" status. I will be checking in periodically! LOL😕😉

I love hearing your updates. My Mom is 82 and has her iPad, iPhone 5s, and a Mac pro and wanted to know if she should upgrade to the 6 plus. Eventually she will. Congratulations on 62 years. My parents have been married 53. I wish they were as independent as you two seem to be. I hope you get your phone soon. Enjoy your day! I'm not sure why they made 16s, but not 32s...I think they should have started with 32GB as apps seem to be getting larger.
Thank you. I really love my iphone. My blind DH uses siri for all his phone calls and our son gave him a 27inch Mac. He can watch his ball games and play his card games on it. His vision loss is central so he can still use his peripheral vision I'm a little more independent then he is but I do have to use a Walker to get around. I didn't order til the 13 th thinking things would settle down by than but was I ever wrong. Heading for our outing in a couple minutes. Hope everyone has a good day today.

Mine is in love with the south right now. Was suppose to get here Friday but decided to stay in Memphis. Then took a trip Nashville and as of yesterday has been sitting in Louisville. Suppose to get delivered tomorrow, hopefully.
My sentiments exactly. While the preorder purgatory experience has been stressful it's been fun to share it with so many fun and interesting people.
My mom and dad just had their 50th anniversary and their 78th and 77th birthdays respectively, but unfortunately my dad was in the hospital recovering from colon cancer surgery. He beat bladder cancer and right after that they discovered the other cancer. But he's doing well and already getting back to his routine though the bladder cancer treatments are an ongoing thing. I wish my dad would switch to Apple computers and phones. It would save my husband a lot of lost hours doing tech support. But my dad love mucking about in Windows and Android and causing chaos and wreaking havoc. He's so evil! 🙄

My mom is 82. I taught her how to use a computer over the phone many years ago, and she knows more than a lot of people. I continue to teach her over the phone and do trouble shooting computer problems. She does quite well. i got her a wireless router and helped her install it over the phone and set up the ipad i sent her. gave her mine and my iphone 3g. i bought her the iphone 6 and me the plus. (she did not want the plus) she got hers the 22nd and i am still in back order. lol she gets to play and i dont. lol
I will say att&t did do a great job helping me get hers activated (3 way call) as she is in wisconsin and i am in florida. her phone is on my account (10.00 a month) so i had to do all the verification stuff and she had to do the turning on and off of the phone. it was good quardination.. 🙂

Not I. It dawned on me that the 877 number comes at a cost to ATT, and typically with toll free numbers the first few minutes are the biggest cost.
So I've no issue dialing that number every hour on the hour, separately for each of my two orders, just to get even that small a dig in at AT&T...
Apple may have prematurely launched this product, but its still AT&T that has no concept of what "first come, first served" means.

looks like the power outage in Memphis affected you and your phone. That sucks, i just better see that thing on a plane some time today. seems like it would cost them more money to send a package the other way...

It's been 16 days, and I'm stuck on back order for my 6+ sg 16g. I've searched like crazy online at Apple, best buy and radio shack. I've called walmarts, att stores and targets. I will accept and color in either 16 or 64g, and can't get my hands on a single phone.
I don't blame att at all. They are only getting what Apple is supplying them. In fact, I blame Apple. They're the ones that had their site crash which sent the people looking to order to att and then not supplying the phones.
Sorry, just getting impatient over here. Going on vacation soon to vegas and really wanted to bring my new phone with me and I'm starting to lose hope.

Vegas huh, love Vegas...Maybe its better you dont have it. That is the Number one city in the world for losing phones...lol..Are you in Cali?
