Anyone still here with a 10/2 to 10/13 ship date?

Yep, two of em. Ordered two 128Gb SG, one at 3:03 ET, the other at 3:43. Both emails shortly after, confirmation texts didn't arrive until 9am for both, not sure why.

I've gotten the email that just reiterates the shipping date, but not since well before launch day. No emails about the new NEXT contracts, either.

Still sitting in preparing on the site, backorder on 877 number. It may take another 12 months..but AT&T is losing a 10+ year customer over this.
 
Mine is the same I have one gold 128g 6+ that has been processing since the 20th and one in back order. Ordered on the 12th time stamp on first one is 3:02 and second one is 3:46 am
I will be getting my phone today. Gold 64. Dates were 10/31-11/11, ordered 7:50 am pst on the 12th.
My phone left the Oakland, CA Fed Ex facility at 4:24 am this morning....I'm an hour and a half away. So close!!
Has anybody with shipping dates 10/31 to 11/11 gotten any changes in their status?
 
Looks like mine has been in Memphis since 4:24AM too....I thought it would be in Cali by now....

oh wow, I hope he beats the colon cancer as well. My best friend is going through chemo for stage 3 colon cancer right now after going through radiation. It can be rough, and after this treatment, she will need to have surgery again to re-route her. Cancer sucks!

I tried to see if you've gotten progress on the receipt of your phone but my iPhone froze up on this forum. I have had some problems with Safari and with some apps like Facebook. I don't know it those are iOS problems or app problems or 6Plus problems.

One thing I want to say when you all get your new phones and start inspecting them, don't be alarmed if you think the screen is popped up slightly off the frame or the phone is slightly bent. Because of the curves and the new styling of the phone the eye does get fooled a bit. You're going to see things that aren't likely happening. If there really is a problem it's not going to be subtle.
Even before I heard the latest "Popgate" I thought it looked like my screen was slightly separated from the frame in places. After really careful scrutinizing and testing I know it's just perception, the eye being fooled by how the curved screen reflects light, I would guess. The screen is in fact even and perfectly set in place. Coming from a 5s with its rigid planes, my eye was fooled.
 
Anyone else ordered on the 27th via AT&T store? I returned my 6 for a 6 plus, they ordered it right then and there and I told them to have it shipped to my apartment. My ship dates are 11/5-11/14. Hopefully sooner than this. But what does economy freight mean? I hope it's still overnight shipping.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to inspect everything closely, especially with the rush productions they had to do..I always expect glitches in apps with new ios updates...but Safari is apple's...you'd think that would not have issues.
 
11/9 to 11/27

I'm in the 11/9 to 11/27 Range as well. I ordered on the 18th but the 877 number changed to processing for me on Saturday morning. Since my order contains two phones I'm wondering if its for both or just one because the 6 Silver 64gb is on the 9/29 - 10/08 range.

Ordered the 16GB 6+ space grey about 20-30 min after pre-orders started (2:30 AM CST). This at least gives SOME insight to the premier vs consumer issues.


Lindsay: Your device is pending shipment in our warehouse, it will be shipping out soon.

Lindsay: Generally, the shipping time frames are just an estimated shipping date. Until the orders have shipped we are unable to guarantee the delivery date of the order.

Joshua: That isn't the question I asked though. I want to know what method AT&T is using to determine who gets their phone when. It certainly isn't by order time. Is it based on geography, population of service area, length of time as a customer?

Joshua: Some other criteria?

Lindsay: It is based on the queue you are put in when the order placed, there are two different departments you can be placed in, Premier or Consumer. Also the shipping date is estimated on our inventory levels.

Joshua: Well that is helpful. So are the premier customers being serviced first?

Lindsay: No, they both have their own queue. It is first come, first serve, in both departments.

Joshua: That's the part that doesn't make sense to me. Unless several people have lied to me, I have spoken with a lot of people who ordered well AFTER me, same model and color who have received their phones

Lindsay: The people who have ordered after you are probably Premier customers.

Lindsay: They have probably ordered first in that queue which is why they got their device.

Joshua: Alright, then how is it determined which phones are assigned to which queue?

Lindsay: The phone doesn't matter. It is placed when you place the order and which queue you are put in to.

Joshua: Right, but people who are premier and ordered after me are getting the devices. I am asking when AT&T gets a shipment of phones in, how is it determined which ones go to those in the premier queue and which go to the regular queue

Lindsay: Premier are customers who have an employee discount, when they submit their order, it is automatically placed with Premier. Their order number will be different than Consumer customers. I am not sure when another shipment of phones will be updated in our inventory.

Joshua: You are either not understanding or avoiding my question. Lets say there are a million people in the regular queue and a hundred thousand in the premier. AT&T gets a shipment of fifty thousand phones. How many phones are assigned to each queue

Lindsay: I would not know that because our inventory levels are not updated. In Consumer, we get our own shipment of phones. With Premier, I am not sure how their process for inventory is. I only work with Consumer orders that have been placed online.

Joshua: Well I guess I'll just wait some more

Lindsay: You will be getting it much sooner than your estimated shipping date.

I posted this about a week ago (give or take) and was told I'd get it much sooner than my expected shipping dates. That's obviously out of the question, but how about at least getting them to us by the beginning of those estimates. It sucks to stay up til 2AM to order with the expectation that you will get the phone on launch day and still be sitting here 10 days later on "backorder" while people who ordered hours or even days after are receiving their phones.
 
Figured I would give an update on my end. 6+, 64gb, SG, premier

Ordered at 9:30am eastern on 9/12. Had 10/31-11/11 ship date the entire time. Some point between Friday evening and 6:30am Saturday morning the 877 changed from backorder to preparing to ship. Received and email around noon with tracking information and my phone will arrive today. Came through Fort Worth.

Been a fun ride with you all. Let me know if you have any other questions regarding my order.

My mom is 82. I taught her how to use a computer over the phone many years ago, and she knows more than a lot of people. I continue to teach her over the phone and do trouble shooting computer problems. She does quite well. i got her a wireless router and helped her install it over the phone and set up the ipad i sent her. gave her mine and my iphone 3g. i bought her the iphone 6 and me the plus. (she did not want the plus) she got hers the 22nd and i am still in back order. lol she gets to play and i dont. lol
I will say att&t did do a great job helping me get hers activated (3 way call) as she is in wisconsin and i am in florida. her phone is on my account (10.00 a month) so i had to do all the verification stuff and she had to do the turning on and off of the phone. it was good quardination.. :)
wow that is great that you could coordinate all that over the phone.

My mom is 78 but so badly disabled by arthritis she can't use much technology. She spends her days in a lot of pain and docs can't help her since she's already had joints replaced and painkillers were damaging her liver so she had to quit. Osteoarthritis has limited her life more than multiple cancer battles has limited my dad. Just a few weeks after his last surgery for colon cancer and a week into his preventative treatment for bladder cancer and he's up and about and taking care of her again. I go over and houseclean for them.

My inlaws recently moved to a full service retirement apartment and they love it. It gives them more independence and a new social life. I'm trying to persuade my parents to do the same but am having no luck. So I'm stuck taking care of my house, my old house that I'm trying to sell, and my parents house and raising my own family. Just a couple of months ago my husband and I were also responsible for my inlaw's house. We still are, in that we are the ones who oversaw the reno work and are now negotiating the sale of it. My poor husband looks like he got run over by a truck.

Getting new iPhones has been a real treat for us in the midst of all the responsibility and worry and stress. Which is why it was a bummer getting stuck in preorder purgatory. And why it was a bummer to see other people elsewhere on the forum call preorder people spoiled entitled whiners when we didn't get our phones nor any real info on our orders either. And why I so empathize with the rest of you and want to see you ALL get your phones. I get a big smile with each announcement of someone else here getting their order status changed or getting their tracking number and delivery.

Yeah preorder purgatory may be a first world problem. But I get a sense that we are all basically decent people with our own stories and our own challenges and did not need the stress of a botched process adding to our list of things to deal with.

Just wanted to share some info here. I ordered at 3am eastern time and got a 10/2 to 10/13 date. My wife’s phone was shipped on Saturday arriving Monday September 22nd …mine is still sitting in preparing to ship and the 877 number keeps telling me back-ordered. 3 different co-workers at work got theirs before me and only one actually ordered at the same time I did. The differences are:
They all ordered 64gb... I ordered 16gb
I ordered SG, 2 of them ordered white one ordered SG.
None of them are premier…my account is thru my wife’s job and if course is premiere.
I called customer service and they were no help (not their fault of course, many of them have no power to do much anyway) but I feel the frustration like you guys. 8 years as an (sbc, att wireless, cingular…back to att wireless) ATT customer…oh well i guess more waiting.:(
 
Yup. Some people are reporting up to 48 hours though. Being a weekend almost, it could take the 48. Either way, you should have it BY Wednesday if you're changed to processing. Just a guess.

I actually got mine on Thursday last week. I was just commenting it was around 20 hours after the 877 # stopped reporting as backorder to when I got tracking.
 
Is Fedex requiring signatures on iPhones shipped from AT&T?

They just leave it on your door step. I have to rush home as soon as mine is delivered just in case. That's what I had to do when my wife's phone was delivered on launch day (as if people aren't looking for iPhones being left at the door to steal :rolleyes:). FedEx won't let you redirect the address.
 
Just checked currently on back order. Hard to understand why my plus 16gb gold ordered on the 13th went into the 11/9-11/27 queue? Oh well I had a nice day away from the back order lady when my DH and I spent day at the beach. :cool:
 
For all you getting ur phone today, congrats and it will come this week for the others that haven't got it yet.. Mine is on the truck for delivery and can't wait. If you guys don't like them leaving it on yr door step you can leave a note on yr tracking info to leave somewhere of yr choice..

Extremely similar timeline and situation. Ordered my 128/gold 6+ at 3:48 EST, got the confirm email that moment, and then the text later in the morning - 9:01 a.m. as a matter of fact. I also got the email reiterating 10/2-10/13. And nothing since. 877-backordered is my most frequently dialed number these days.

Hopefully we get movement this week!
 
Lol that sucks. I don't understand how that can happen. Damn, that's a pretty big upgrade. The thing is, out of 500,000 iPhone's only 140,000 pluses are being made due to the fact that 50% are being thrown away. I really hate AT&T and APPLE right now. But hey, if waiting longer means they won't bend, I'm somewhat fine with that then but I'm still mad that it's not in my hands, yet.


Ya man phones don't bend. 9 out of millions isn't a problem. All man made devices have issues.. But 9 out or millions I would say is not a issue..
 
Just received My iPhone 3gs through mail lol..yes i went on ebay and got one for $45 until I get my 6.. Hey it's way better than the flip phone I've been using for about a week now! It's in really really good shape too no scratches! Sold my 5s for top dollar. But now I wait like the rest of you, good news is mine went off of backorder Sat around noon but still no shipment info:( iPhone 6 Silver 64
 
what does it mean when on the premier site says status: in progress and pending shipment?

Absolutely nothing. The only way to know when your phone is on its way is to call the 877#. Once that goes from backordered to processing that means there some movement on your account. The websites don't change until that does and even then it still takes some time for those statuses on the website to change.
