Iphone 6+ Pre-Order Status 9/17 9:30am ET
My wife's 6 shipped this morning and tracking number assigned. My 6+, however, which was ordered at 3:10am ET from AT&T, was moved up a week to 10/2-10/13 delivery from 10/13-/22 delivery. Seems I will not be getting the 6+ by the weekend.
I would have been fine with waiting had that information been communicated by AT&T that the delivery for the 6+ would be delayed beyond the launch date. I have received my past preorders on the launch date for past 2 years. AT&T seems to have led me to believe that a pre-order would get me a phone on launch day 9/19. Instead, after I purchase, they tell me 14-21 day delivery.
Like so many others that have posted her, the follow up email from AT&T gave late October to early November delivery dates. On Sunday the dates changed to 10/13-10/22 and this morning to 10/2-10/13. I am not happy with what some may consider a Bait and Swich. Let them pre-order then wait 5-6 hours to send email confirmation with dates no where near the 9/19release date. This is poor customer service at the least.
Not that it is likely to accomplish anything, but I will send something like this post to AT&T and to my state's consumer affairs office. Maybe situations like this can be prevented in the future.
