AT&T Pre-order status iPhone 6 Plus (only)

I finally got fed up, and after seeing that there were a number of Apple Stores in the Chicago area with stock of the silver and gold Plusses, I decided to cancel my AT&T preorder and take a road trip to get one. The one good thing that I can say about AT&T was that I had no trouble canceling my order and my upgrade eligibility was restored immediately.
I went on Apple's website and tried to order a 128GB Plus in silver for personal pickup. After I pressed the "complete order" button, I got an error. When I went back to try again, it seemed that the phone had sold out at that store during the checkout process. I went back and selected a different store, and it sold out there before I could finish checking out as well! Now I was starting to get a little nervous, but the third time was the charm and I managed to get my order in. The trip went off without a hitch, although it was 3 hours each way. The wife and kids did some shopping while I went to get my phone, so they were happy.
Obviously, I probably should have done this a long time ago, but I kept thinking that it would ship any day. But in the end, I couldn't take the possibility that my 10/2 to 10/13 estimate might end up being closer to 10/13. Of course now that I've done this, I'm sure you will all get your phones shipped immediately.

I can say just from playing with one for a few hours that it definitely seems worth the wait.Weird, on my friend's 6+ order, it comes up with two orders when we call the 877 number, one with a weird order # that starts with a 789****** (which I can't search against on the AT&T site) that says backordered and another with the correct order number that says in process 907***********. Who to believe!?

Been lurking on the forum finally decided to sing up and rant, lol! I was ok with the dates assuming they would get bumped up like most others, now im getting frustrated like most everyone else!

Still on back order this early morning. Come on ATT oct 2-13 once meant you'd most likely get it at launch then it was the next week, then well maybe next week, now I just hope it comes before the 13th.
I ordered my 6+ SG 128GB on the 12th at 4am CST. Non-premier. Still showing 'preparing to ship' on the website with Oct 13-22 ship date. 877 number says backordered.
I've been checking the seaturtle.org iPhone 6 inventory checker. A few of the Apple stores in my area are now stocked this morning with 6+ 128GB Silver and Golds, but no SG's. I would definitely go for either Silver or Gold if the bezel were black, but unfortunately only the SG has the black bezel. I'm hoping there were plenty of SG's on the latest deliveries from China, but they're being used to fulfill existing orders and not being sent to Apple stores.

I still have no tracking and am sooo tired of calling and doing chats to find out no one knows squat over and over. None of them have offered money off my bill or free cases, even when I asked directly.
I ordered before midnight on the 12th, 6+ 16 gig gold and I am a premier customer, whether I want to be or not. I am really having a hard time understanding why it's taking so long for mine when other who ordered days later have gotten their phones.

I think the gold is the last to get. It is what I ordered as well and my ship dates are 10/2 to 10/13 128g 6+ gold. And I have been on here since page 30 and have only seen two gold iPhone get shiped but seeing a lot in Apple stores now.
All of us with the 128g 6+ space grays think the SG are the last to ship, too... I'm sure those with the silver who haven't gotten theirs yet probably feel the same about their choice.
It seems like the real issue may be with the 128g 6+ in general. Someone a while back pointed out a document that showed they only had a single supplier for the 128g memory where as they had two suppliers for all of the other sizes. They speculated that Apple may not have anticipated demand to be all that high when they set up production on the 128g which added to the already constrained supply of 6+ phones might explain why we are all still waiting.
