I agree that the lack of communication or updates is what is severely frustrating. This is not how you run a business. First advertising a product you don't have available, causing massive backordered and empty promises, and then not providing updates or statements of any kind.


Of course when you look at it from their point of view..... They gave me shipping days 10/2 - 10/13. So until 10/14 they are doing exactly what they have promised. :)

I expected my phone to come 9/19 because of prior years experience......

What makes me mad is that they shipped phones to people that ordered way after me, that's definitely AT&Ts fault.
 
Depends on how you ordered it if you renewed your 2 year contract then prolly yes. If you used the next program nobody has gotten charged for it before it shipped. They are adding it to next months bill I heard.

I renewed my 2 year contract so I should be getting a charge on my credit card when my order is shipped. Hopefully that will be soon. My ship dates are 10/2-10/13. I placed my order 15 minutes after preorder on 9/12. A friend of mine ordered his a week later, he got his phone last week. Same exact phone that I preordered. That part I do not understand.

If he is a premier customer or ordered from another carrier or through apple, that would explain it...

I would agree with this except when I talk to CSRs they have said that these are conservative estimates and I should be getting the phone sooner. So, for me, it brings me back to Att's approach.
 
Tough for any CSR to make any sort of estimate. If these were flowing in from Apple at a decent rate maybe. But this trickle of supply from Apple is not helping ATT in this situation. For the most part. ATT has bungled the delivery of many of the ones they did receive.
 
Well this turned out to be a totally uneventful day.

ON a side note.. I did receive my new blue haddoni anemone today.

It's gorgeous and more enjoyable than a new iPhone anyway.

For people who are still waiting for their phones. what status do you get when you call these numbers? (877) 782-8870 and (866) 267-4510.

When I call the 877 number it says the items in my order are on back order. When I call the 866 number it used to say my order was processed and was sent to the warehouse for shipment now a few days ago it was changed to 1 or more items in my order are temporarily out of stock.

When I call the 877 number it says the items in my order are on back order. When I call the 866 number it used to say my order was processed and was sent to the warehouse for shipment now a few days ago it was changed to 1 or more items in my order are temporarily out of stock.

Save yourself the hassle and just go by what the 877 # is telling you. Once it moves from back order to processing, expect shipping confirmation within the next 24 - 48 HRS.
 
haha so, i was chatting with an AT&T CSR about another matter. i went ahead and asked about my "pending shipment" of a 6+ SG 128GB she said it was shipped but she couldn't give me a shipping number, so we'll see.
 
I just called the 866 number and it says we have processed your order and it has been sent to warehouse for shipping. You cannot change your order at this time. I never called 866 before so I don't know if this is good or not. :eek:

Doesn't really mean anything, mines says the same thing. The only number I've seen give a true update is the 877 #. And yes, I'm still on back order.

What's it mean if I called the second number and instead of giving me status of my order I'm on hold to speak to a rep??

It did that to me too when I called. When I finally spoke to a rep they told me that my order number wasn't real and transferred me to a different department. While I was on hold to talk to the new department I got disconnected.

I had this happen to me several times using the 877 number. It meant nothing.

Apparently they know nothing and she barely spoke English. She said I'm still showing 10/29-11/07 but "that's just an estimate if we get them in stock well send it sooner".

I just had a rep tell me there's no chance of me getting my phone until November.
