AT&T Pre-order status iPhone 6 Plus (only)

the good service would depend on your area and their cell tower coverage. as for talking and surfing the net that depends on the phone.. I have texted and surfed the net and talked at the same time with my old iphone 4, and have done the same with the new iphone 6+.
one thing you will also need to check on is whether they have roaming fees or not. I was checking into version and for me personnelly their deals are really not that great. My brother gets verizon service where my att doesnt but he has a lot of dead spots elsewhere.
verizon is also cdma not gsm.

I have followed this pretty closely yesterday and today. for example there were none in my area (4 hours out) of any color or gigs. then a couple of hours before stores opened there were some of 16, 64, and 6 or more hours out 128s also. This time I am just doing 2 hours out verses the 4 that i just drove a week ago to get the one i have now.
anyway a few minutes later they all disappeared again. and then a 3 or 4 hours later some showed up again. so i would go to istocknow.com and set up an alert for all phones you are willing to except and drive to go get.
how it works is you choose the phone type and then choose all the cities you are willing to go to. then choose your next type of phone and all the cities again. ya redundant but thats how it works.
make sure you have the card you want to use on your apple site account already and memorize your security code for that card this will save you a lot of time placing the online in store pick up. also if you can use the app its also quicker. speed is the key. because they do go fast its kind of like an online auction. lol
I learned something each time and i finally got it right when i did get the one i drove 8 hours round trip for. so seen i have one I can aford to wait for one 2 hours or less out. I also had an available line for upgrade. but this time i will purchase out right and when i have the phone in my hands i will cancel my att backorder. and then have them rering it to my then will be available upgradable line. Thanx for the response! Might just stick with att! Ughhhh! Just switched from bus to regular acc so i csn buy from apple if i get lucky and find one, but im in so cal and havnt seen any in stock at any apple stores!
you just have to keep checking. last monday morning I got an alert from istocknow.com. it showed it came in at 3 in the morning. that one of the stores i was willling to drive to got a 128 sg 6+ plus in. Now remember they supposedly they do not get shipments in on sunday so i used the apple store app and saw the same thing. so you just have to keep checking throughout the day and night and morning. also use the istocknow.com it seems to work great. also i saw it on istock.com site and checked apple it wasnt there, i closed the app and did it right away again and it was. so how does istocknow.com get the info before apple posted it i do not know but they did. lol
I keep seeing this AT&T ad on TV with the cute AT&T girl saying, "Yes we have the new iPhone." Well, she's a LIAR, don't have any iPhone 6+ at my AT&T store. I feel like throwing my current iPhone at the TV.😡

unfortunately, there are only 3 apple stores within a reasonable driving distance. the next closest is Boise which is about 5 hours away.

set up the alert to be emailed to you for those three stores if nothing else it helps to save time. you still have to do the order from apple.
I could have gotten the sg 128 today in tampa but just did not want to do the 4 hour drive not to mention it as in the heart of tampa. so I am sticking with the 2 hours away which leaves me with 4 stores to work with. but only one of those 4 shows any promise. 🙁
there is a 128gb silver only 20 miles away but not my color. I have set up my alerts. 🙂
business days which means mon-fri excluding holidays. Even if you ordered on the 12th, technically they have until 11/1 or so to fall within the promised timeframe.
That AT&T commercial pisses me off too. I saw it the other day and literally talked back to it. It's probably the same girl that tells us our damn phones are on backorder everyday.

my shipping window is 11/9-11/27 which is well beyond the 28-35 days so we'll see. who knows, maybe they'll ship early. at least thats what i'm hoping.

I ordered in store as the door opened at AT&T on the morning of the 12th. Literally the first person in the door. 128 GB SG 6+ around 9AM Central my shipping date estimates are 10/31-11/11. Still no movement.
Apologizing in advance for my lack of knowledge, but how would I go about getting the 6+ through an apple store when I already have one ordered thru AT&T?

I ordered on 9/12 at 11:55 PM PT thats 5 min in advance to the pre order time. I am still on backorder. It's insane. My original dates were 0ct 2- 13

Have you called AT&T about this? I mean a couple days is one thing but you are starting to push a week out from your date. I'm sure they probably wouldn't be of help but at this point I would be making sure I got a credit on my account or something of that nature.

Wow that sucks. I have a feeling that's what's going to happen to me. My shipping est. is between 10/13 - 10/22. If I don't hear anything by Wednesday, I'll probably end up canceling my order.
What are your dates now? What does the 877 # say? You're already well outside your shipping window so there's really nothing to tell you when you'll receive it.
That's so sick especially when people have ordered on the 16th and 24th and gotten the same phone before either of us. I'm about to call att and complain. Not to be a baby but they flubbed this so bad I want to cancel my service with them
