So quick update, my SG 16gb was shipped through FedEx and due to be delivered today. Checked the tracking number on FedEx and was told it's being held for pickup. I called FedEx, and apparently AT&T flagged my delivery to be picked up at the FedEx facility. So now after my 11 hour shift I get to drive half an hour to finally get my phone. Definitely not ordering through AT&T again.

So on a brighter note unrelated to our current shared situation, for any of you running iOS 8 already you probably have noticed that the camera roll went away. In the 8.1 update coming out today one of the less talked about features that is coming back is the return of Camera Roll... YAY!!!!
My birthday is Thursday and I was hoping I may have my phone by then but it's not looking too good. 6 weeks since I pre-ordered on the 13. I can understand me not having my phone yet but how anyone who ordered within the first few hours does not have their phone is really just bonkers to me.
I'm hoping to get my phone before Thanksgiving... From reading most of the posts here, I'm guessing that won't happen.

I was on the Verizon thread and people that ordered their phones on the 25th were sent an email saying they will receive their phone on Wed. I don't know if AT&T is not getting what they ordered or their system is just really screwed up, but this crappy. By the way, the phones are Silver and Gold, 64 and 128 6+.

AT&T local store makes me want to rage for real, see my post on the 4S trade in credit shenanigans. Even apple retail is only so so. The truth is that unless you make a public stink or email all the way to the top with evidence collected you'll typically get nothing. Sad that CS has come to this really. I expected the wait having done the gold 5S last year...but it may go past the estimate this time---even for the apple.com order.

To make matters worse I ordered just after midnight on 10/1 so I only get $100 for my trade in. I want my money and not some ATT credit so I'm either going Gazelle or eBay for cash money.

reason for ordering through retentions? I'm guessing it was cheaper in some way (since premier seems to have no effect on speed)

Well, the real question is what happens after your outside of your shipping window. Because the 22nd is Wednesday and I'm pretty sure I won't have my phone by then. That's the real question and I'm pretty sure they're clueless on that as well. #ATTFAIL
I was just thinking the same thing. At least if I see some movement, I think that things are happening.
The reason I ordered through retention was because one of my line was eligible for upgrade in 2 weeks and the other line was not eligible for another year.
They agreed to pull my qualifications ahead and made both lines eligible for the subsidized price, but they could not do the order until it was actually in their system (meaning no ordering until 9/19 as they can not process a pre-order). If it was not for this, I would have ordered directly from Apple or at a store (which I have done in the past with much better success in getting the phone on time).
Good thing is I am getting the phones for the subsidized price, bad thing is I have to wait. Also, there's no way I can cancel my order as there won't be an eligible upgrade being credited back to my account.
