AT&T Pre-order status iPhone 6 Plus (only)

Chatted online with an att CS person today:

The reason your order is taking this long is because your order has been back ordered due to the device being ordered in high demand. You are placed in the queue based on when the system fully processes an order. It is not based on when you placed the order. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee any shipping dates or expedite shipping.

I remember a few weeks back when someone from this forum posted this:

HEADS UP EVERYONE

ALL IPHONES SIX AND SIX PLUS WILL SHIP BETWEEN OCTOBER 6 and November 13th.​

Can anyone verify this or give an update regarding this claim? The OP mentioned that their cousin works in AT&T Corporate (no reason to not believe the guy) but I just wanted to know if anyone has heard anything that corroborates the story.

I remember that post, supposedly there was to be a big shipment on 10/14. Of course that date came and went with nothing. Flight tracker is useless, I don't keep track of planes in the air anymore, they mean nothing. Now some people that were on the 10/2 - 10/13 shipping window still haven't received their phones, they have no new shipping estimate and to top it off, AT&T is completely clueless as to when they'll be getting them.

Based on what I'm seeing, many of us currently on our shipping window (10/13 - 10/22) haven't seen any updates either, and are still stuck on back order. Well, Wednesday is just around the corner and I'm just about ready to put money that we won't get our phones by Wednesday.

I've been patient for this long because I'm sticking by my estimated shipping date which is nearing it's end. I don't even care if they push me back as long as those dates are updated. But when the window comes and goes, and there's absolutely no update or estimate as to when you'll receive your device? Well then that's a problem, because at that point basically nobody knows anything and we're stuck here with our thumbs up our a$$.

Well not today. It goes from Anbeheim, Ca to post office in placentia about 3 miles away and it has not been scanned so they don't have it. They had a later second truck come in from Anheheim that has not been scanned yet so hopefully it's on that. Hope for tomorrow. My son was sure it came special delivery but USPS said it comes via regular mail. It maybe in Chicago. I live 2 miles either way of the two postal centers. Well, what a fitting end to this fiasco. Hope u and mrs had a great anniversary weekend

yeah I remember being in the same boat when I "pre-ordered" the iPhone 5 lol

I ordered two phones this time thinking that maybe there would be a better system in place. My wife wanted the 6 but we got hers canceled and picked one up at bestbuy in less than 20 minutes.

As for me I ordered a 6+:

DATE ORDERED: 09/19/2014
SHIPMENT STATUS: Preparing to Ship
Shipping Date: 11/09/14 - 11/27/14

Ship dates 11/9 - 11/27

No change since day one. :(
 
When you do your next update, you can add mine too. Ordered 9/23 at Corporate Store. Premier customer SG 128 6+ 10/31-11-11 shipping dates. Order status received promptly after ordering. Shipping pending on one site, processing on other. No change since beginning :-(
 
If you read my previous note u know I did not recieve phone today. I did get a call from President of ATT office telling me a few minutes ago I would recieve my phone today. I had emailed weeks ago and they told me I couldn't expect phone until Nov. Imagine her surprise when I told her I did not recieve phone and placentia post office had no idea where it is. She told me I would recieve tomorrow at the latest. They will call me back Within 5 minutes I recieved text from placentia post office saying phone arrived at 8:43 AM followed by a second saying all mail sorting completed now I just recieved text saying out for delivery. Maybe an old 82 year old lady with a blind vet husband has a friend in ATT. Don't be too hard on them please. :D

The strangest thing is I don't see any movement regarding any 128 6+ models. Has anyone have any new info on the 128 models.

I think the difference is that it has to be a corporate store. We have one store that's non-corporate and they said the cards they issued would only be usable in-store. But at the corporate store, I was able to have them apply the cards to my bill. And yes, I got the full $200 we were promised. Do you have a different AT&T store you could try? I would also be reluctant to do the mail-in option.

Yes I agree. You need to go to a corporate store. I had a bad experience with one of the authorized store. When I went to the corporate store they apologized and they are giving me 200 for my 4S. I turn it in once I get my new phone whenever that may be.
 
Called an AT&T CSR just for kicks and giggles a few days ago. Got the obligatory "We're getting them out as fast as we get them." When I mentioned the people who ordered on 9-12 they had no answer. Truly the monkeys are running the circus at AT&T.

From our list, I see a total of seven 128gb that have shipped. It looks like the 17th was the last time one shipped (feels like it was a lot longer than that), and that was a gold. Maybe I should include shipping dates on the main list:

I was just reading up on the Apple Quarterly revenue update and from the looks of it, supply is still majorly constrained and even they don't have an exact idea when supply will meet demand.

Oh Joy, more waiting..

and to think i'm making the switch from android to apple, what a wonderful experience this has been so far :)
 
If any of you are in or near Chicago and are willing to buy a 16GB +, it seems Target has craptons of them for AT&T.

I wonder why Target got the shipment and nobody else? Even the Apple stores don't have that many!

That's later than my own order for the exact same phone, ordered on 09/22. :confused: What's going on?

Like I said on another thread though... I think everyone should take a nice, long break from checking this thread/email/at&t order status again and again (raises my hand...I'm guilty too!) until you've actually approached your shipping dates and then share with us all. It isn't worth all our collective stress, really. We'll all eventually get phones and from what I've seen playing with a friends iPhone 6 Plus...it's going to be worth it! ;)
