Hey guys, go ahead and add me to the party.
I ordered a iPhone 6 plus 128 SG.
ordered 9-12-14 @ 3:47 am CDT.
My ship dates were 10/2. - 10/13
Online ORDER said preparing to ship until the 13th then changed to backorder.
877# always said backorder, I called a rep and she said my new dates are 10/13 - 10/22. Doubtful!!! Never again!!!

:( uh oh. I just started checking this thread. I ordered a SG 128 6+ at 7:30 Eastern and had ship dates of 10/13-22. Still on backorder at 877, preorder processing on the web. I didn't realize they were pushing peoples ship dates back.

Please add me to the list

Ordered my SG 128 iphone 6plus 9/14 at 10am. My status is back order expected ship date 11/9 - 11/27. It has never changed status.

Here is what Tim Cook said about the supply vs demand.

"With a record-breaking first weekend sales of 10 million units in September, it was clear the iPhone 6 would be another hit for Apple. Apparently, sales are stronger than even Apple anticipated and the company has yet to balance supply with the huge groundswell of demand.

"We're not nearly balanced, we're not close, we're not on the same planet," Cook said. "That said, I'm really confident that supply is going to be great and that's the reason you see incredibly strong guidance that we're giving [for next quarter]."

http://appleinsider.com/articles/14...tstrip-supply-may-not-see-balance-before-2015

Of course supply is going to be great, they have no choice. That's what happens when you bite more than you can chew. But fear not, you can still order your iPhone through AT&T, so we'll keep stuffing our faces until we turn blue.

I like how Apple is almost completely blind sided by the demand of something they probably knew well in advance they didn't have ample supply of, specially with a worldwide rollout like this.

I'm done with this crap, tomorrow is the 22nd and the last date of my shipping window as well as others. After that point, we're left with nothing, and no one has a clue about anything. Maybe I'll get it by Thanksgiving, perhaps Christmas, or who knows, maybe sometime next year before the 6S releases.

That is the frustration point in this whole process. Give me a date and stick with it. If it changes, be upfront. Things happen, no problem, but with asymmetric information you cannot make informed decisions. For instance, around Oct 1 I called ATT to confirm the shipping dates were accurate, because I was going to cancel my order and go direct through Apple. The CSR said it might ship early, so I kept the ATT order active, since they were projected to arrive within the same ship/delivery window. Now, 3 weeks later and I have one day left in my ship window before back order hell. Really just unprofessional on ATT's side.

Oh trust me I feel your pain and I agree. I can live with an estimated shipping window, but once those dates comes and goes and no updates are provided, then it feels like we're all just sitting here with our thumbs up our a$$. Hopefully AT&T updates our shipping estimates since it's pretty much guaranteed we won't be getting our phones by tomorrow.

I too just got off the chat with an AT&T CSR about cancelling my order. He assured me I could. I didn't even bother asking him about my order status as I know he's probably just as clueless as we are. It was a bit funny though, his first response was a scripted one as I had read the same responses posted on here by other reps. He did manage to apologize for that after I called him out on it.

I'll give them till the end of the week for some movement, even if it's updated shipping estimate, at least we have something to go by. If nothing by then I'm cancelling my order and taking my chances with stock at my local Apple retailer. From what I've noticed on the spreadsheet above, many of us in the 10/13 - 10/22 window have hardly seen any movement or updates so we'll all end up getting pushed back.

Curious

Not that it really matters for me considering I cancelled my 9/17 order only to find the store that promised to hold a phone for me DIDN'T so I had to reorder on 10/13 with shipment dates of who knows when......(vent over)
But I was wondering when the last time there were any shipments? There are entirely too many people who ordered a long time ago that are still waiting. Just curious

I honestly don't know. In the beginning we were all jumping on flight tracker thinking those planes were carrying our phones, only for that to turn out not to be the case in most instances.

Add to the fact that AT&T's "first come, first serve" order is complete BS and we're pretty much left in the wind. What we do know is that supplies are even more constrained than before thanks to the worldwide rollout in other countries, so shipments are coming little by little.

Question, when you found it in store, did you purchase for in-store pick up or did you go hoping they would still have stock when u got there? If I end up cancelling my order I'll probably end up having to purchase the phone for full price just to reserve it for in-store pick up, so that the same doesn't happen to me.

Since you can't do Next in-store pick up, I'll just have them switch it back to Next once I get to the Apple store, which they can do. Sorry about what happened to you, that sucks and it's exactly what I don't want to happen to me.

Yeah, be careful if you do it. I could not do the Next for in-store pick up and was willing to pay full price but all I wanted them to do was HOLD the phone while I made the 2 hour drive. They assured me they would hold it and then they didn't. I can't blame anyone but myself for cancelling prior to having the phone in my hand. I was already struggling with a 9/17 order date now with a 10/13 re-order date - yeah I'm not expecting to arrive this year and will cancel it next year when the 6s rolls out. This really sucks for all of us.

If anyone listened to the earnings call yesterday, Apple's CFO (Luca Maestri) said that the inventory at the 5s/5c pre-launch was 3M+. There were 1M phones in inventory for the 6/6+ pre-launch. This is a huge indicator why we are waiting so long for delivery. This metric speaks directly to Tim Cook's ideas about inventory - http://archive.fortune.com/2008/11/09/technology/cook_apple.fortune/index.htm

Where can I get more information about this earning call? 10 million pre-orders in the US alone and Apple only had 1 million phones available for launch? Are you freaking kidding me?

I have the answer guys!

After speaking to a rep she informed me of the way shipping is being handled.

If you live closer to a warehouse. You will receive your phone faster than someone who lives farther from the warehouse.

In other news, was reading an article on Cnet regarding Apple's 4th QT earnings:

______________________________________________________________

Cook said iPhone 6 and 6 Plus demand "is far outstripping supply," and it could stay that way through the end of the calendar year.

"It's unclear, looking at the data, when supply will catch up with demand," Cook said on a conference call. "It's clear, as of today ... we're not even close. We're not even on the same planet."

Awesome, so not even Tim Cook knows when we'll be getting our phones.

One thing you have to keep in mind re: the 5S launch vs. the 6&6+ launch is that the 5S was based on a chassis that already existed in the iPhone 5. There wasn't much change to the production process necessary. Even most of the production process for the 5C was similar to the 5. The 6 and 6+ however is a whole new ball game.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending anyone. But I don't think you can compare the two launches as the production requirements are very different.

Sadly as an iPhone user since iPhone 3G I am seriously considering canceling and getting a note 3 or 4. I love my iPhone's but I am not sure I want to support apple until they get their heads out of their butts. I'm pissed about the Mac mini and pissed about my preorder 6+. I would miss iOS, but damn if I can't use it on a newer phone with the most recent features then it isn't worth much to me.

I have not noticed any movement for the last couple of days. Looks like ATT has no 6+ at all.

Who's warehouse are they referring to? And, really, who lives closest?

So, when I placed my order 3 weeks ago I was charged $153 for the tax on 2 phones. Obvi, that charge fell off. For various reasons I used a card that I don't like to keep money on. So, I chatted up ATT and asked them WTF why can't you just charge me already so I am not leaving money on a card I don't like to use... I got the usual blah blah blah. It would just be nice to not have to worry about that aspect. Anyone know what happens if by some miracle they go to ship the phones and can't charge a card?? Will I have a chance to transfer money or is it immediately to the back of the line for me?? ugh
