I received my 128 Gold yesterday (order placed 9/12 @1:13am). Shipped Friday 10/24 from FW -> LA via Fed Ex. Has anyone else been struck by how shoddy the packing was? Mine was in a box about 3x the size of the 128's box with no extra anything to secure the contents during transit. I've always ordered my iPhones from Apple online & Apple always secures the iPhone box inside the shipping box so that it is very well protected from knocks and bumps. The phone seems fine - but it really annoyed me that there were small dents in the 128 box and the lightning cable had popped out of it's cubby at the bottom of the box where the accessories are so artfully nested. It's like the phone was packed with contempt. Way to go AT&T - from top to bottom, you're a company of complete slobs.

FYI, AT&T doesn't ship the phones. They get sent directly from Apple. At least, that's what they told me
This is just unnecessary ranting. AT&T doesn't have anything to do as to how it phone is packaged and delivered.
Just got the text message that it shipped. Looks like USPS, not going to complain about that, just happy that it shipped.

Status changed for me sometime between yeaterday and 6:30 am this morning according to 877 number. It says processing and my CC was charged. No shipment notification yet. But a question...I have since MOVED since I placed my order on preorder day (9/12 5 pm) so I'm gonna need whatever carrier it ships wirh to hold it for pickup since AT&T won't let me change my address. Has anyone had USPS hold a package for a similar issue? Is it possible?
P.S. Ordered 64GB SG Plus, again 9/12 at 5 pm.

If you put a change of address with the post office, you shouldn't have a problem. If you didn't, idk what to tell you.
Have you done a change of address(mail forwarding) since you moved? If not I think I might have done this once befor it was pretty easy. Also maybe ask about the mail forwarding and see how long it takes to go into affect. Explab your situation at the post office and they should help you take the best action
Yea it definitely is. I moved a few months ago and was able to get packages that were addressed to my old address.

Same here. UPS just has updated/changed delivery info for my iPhone from 10/31/14 to 11/03/14 (Friday to Monday).
I definitely will. I heard here I think that FedEx/UPS have to make one delivery attempt before they hold. If that's the case, I'll probably be the only person alive hoping for a USPS delivery. It's been a long journey. Finally glad I'm at the end, and just don't want things to collapse because I moved and had 7 children (not really, but it feels like it) since I ordered lol. Whew, here's hoping every last one of you get yalls phones soon. Rooting for you gingersnaps...I know you're fed up too!
Mine was shipped from an AT&T fulfillment warehouse in Fort Worth, and included AT&T inserts. As the previous member described, the shipping box was a LOT bigger than the box the iPhone was in, and included only one packing bag for protection. Definitely not typical of shipments that come from Apple...

That's what they told me too. I had to reorder on 10/24. Now I'm waiting until December for my phone.
I'm just happy to see movement. All that wait for y'all must have been really frustrating. Specially when a lot of u guys preordered before launch. But hey, movement is going so makes me happy. I'm not in a rush since I ordered mine on 10/16 and i have an HTC M8 that is working perfectly. But have to admit, I get ansy to see all of those phones being shipped hahaha. My window is set for 11/25-12/5 but hopefully get it sooner lol
There are probably still people waiting that ordered before me (9/12 5pm) but I'm as happy as can be. I'll admit I've lost a little excitement after an almost 2 month wait, but my movement today has reignited that thrill. Here's to hope everyone gets movement real soon. And thanks to all who have shared this pain. It's like we're all a big ol family!
