Good luck @Keyman, let us know if all works out!
If people could keep their fingers crossed for me I would appreciate it. I didn't realize that the AT&T Next program could be used at an apple store with an authorized user on the account (due to my own negligence), which will potentially make it so I can get my phone today!!! These shared family plans can be a pain in the ass with knowing what the authorized user can, and cannot do.
"Luckily" the MacBook Air I purchased for my mother won't boot, so I had to make a genius bar appointment at my local apple store today and they happen to have the 128GB Gold iPhone 6 Plus in stock and my husband is going with me (he's the authorized user). If it is still in stock, we will both be getting phones! He wants the 128GB Silver. I have some faith considering they have been available in the 128GB model in both silver and gold for a couple days in Syracuse, NY. Not holding out too much hope though. I've had no movement on my iPhone 6+ Gold 128gb premier order to date.
I am going to force my husband to let us switch carriers after these are paid off, since AT&T has really $#%@ people over. The walmart straighttalk program seems enticing ($41.25/mo unlimited everything if you prepay a year at $495, otherwise $45/mo) but I haven't heard very much about it. The nice thing is you can bring any phone over to the service. However, the data is throttled if you use too much, although I'm generally on wifi so it might be worth it. Has anyone had experience with this prepaid service? It somewhat seems too good to be true.

I'll keep you all notified how it all plays out today.
