Just checked out what it would take for the same phone from Verizon if I ordered tonight. Their site say "Will ship by 11/21"
ATT is just ridiculous with this...!!!

I'm thinking AT&T has pissed Apple off somehow or owes them money. My Dad was speculating about them possibly being in debt and only able to get some phones at a time. I looked at him weird but now I wonder.

It used to say pending but now says backordered....and no more ship dates

today was the first time the order status page has said something beside 'preparing to ship' with the ship window now it says 'backordered' with no dates.

Funny thing is right now I'm watching that at&t commercial with that cute little Lily telling some guy that 'yeah, we have the new iPhone' - I guess she is kept out of the loop or maybe she is just confused because all evidence points to them not having the new iPhone :confused:

Sprint has about 55 million customers.

Verizon about 77 million.

ATT has over 100 million.

So if Sprint customers ordered one million of a particular iphone...
and Verizon customers ordered one million of same iphone
and att customers ordered 1.3 million of same iphone....

and apple gives equal amounts to all carriers.... And you happen to be in that .3 million extra. The dude 800000 in queue at Sprint even though he ordered on 9/30 will get his quicker than ME who is 1.1 million in queue at ATT and ordered on 9/19.

Get it??? Apple just cant get over the hump. Once they do that... finally catch up to some degree... Wait times will be fine. This China thing reall f'ed things over too

I'm so glad I had 2 cancel my order with AT&T. Don't think I would have seen my phone anytime soon. Hope you all get good news soon! Good luck
 
I have finally given up. I monitored istocknow and found a silver/128gb/6+ at an Apple Store near me. I rushed after work to get there and low and behold, they still had one!!! Good timing too because I overheard 3 people after me ask if they had any 64 or 128gb from AT&T. I guess I got the last one they had. Canceling my order with AT&T was pretty painless. I am currently sitting here writing this on my brand new iPhone 6+, which I am completely loving so far! I would go this route if you can find one! However, still haven't been able to find a gold/64gb/6+ that I have on order for my wife. Happy hunting everyone!
 
Just like AT&T to give you bits and pieces of info....
Just did a chat and "Mikku" explained that because I ordered thru a store they can't immediately reinstate eligibility on the line where my cancelled phone was ordered. Says it does take a couple of days to process.
So I mentioned the situation with the store manager changing the last digits of the IMEI numbers for immediate reversal, and he said to try a Corporate store manager because they couldn't do it and I would have to wait the 2-3 days for their emailed resolution to my eligibility reversal.
I said "..but it's the same company. How is it that you guys can't just do it right now without me having to go to a store?". He explained that I have to "partner with the store", which was clarified as "get it done immediately at the AT&T Corporate store because your original order was done at an AT&T store".
Why couldn't they just say that in yesterday's chat???
It's always a runaround...Sheesh!!!


Anyways...going to Corporate store in the morning, and will make sure to ask if they have any 6+ stashed in the back#.
If not, no loss...off to Apple we will go!!#

Looking on istocknow.. Most stores in California is running low on stock on all the iPhone 6 Plus.

If I could have canceled my order earlier... I would have done so but I did early upgrade via retention...
 
Hoooray!

My wife's iPhone 6+ 64 Gold was finally delivered by Fedex today! She says its gorgeous! She choose the Plus so she can see better as our eyes are not what they used to be. She set it up on zoomed view and is really loving it! Much easier to use and much smother in operation than her aged 3GS which has given great service (it even worked with the cracked screen that originally drove us to pre-order the 6 plus.)

I spent about 20 minutes on the phone with a business center rep to get it activated and everything working. We are on an old Voice Rate plan and a small Data Plan (she works a home business so Wi-Fi supports most of her data needs) so it took some time for them to look up the old information, so they say. I asked why it took so long to get the phone. The rep said the iPhone is a high end phone and its in high demand.

Tonight on the way home from work, I stopped at the Apple Store to pick up the Apple silicone cover that AT&T so thoughtfully decided to cancel off the original order the day the phone shipped.

The Apple website would not allow us to pre-order the phone on their website because it was a business line.

The ATT Premier website always displayed the order date as 9/13, but the ATT.com order status site had the order date as 9/18, the same date as the email confirmation.

I hope all get their phones soon! From our limited time with it, you will love it! I'll be checking back to see how it works out for everyone.

Good Morning everyone,
I have been reading this forum now for some time and today I have chosen to voice my opinion on ATT and their lack of phones. I placed my order for a 128gb Space Gray iPhone 6+ on 9-23 and instantly got a shipping window of 10/31 to 11/11 which is today. And guess what, nothing from ATT at all. Since 9/23 my order has stated preparing to ship and nothing has changed even at the end of my shipping window.
I have emailed the executive office and the lady called back and was of no use at all, she said you are in your shipping window and there is nothing she could do, waste of time emailing them in my opinion. Called the 800 # and it still shows on back order. I wish I could just go into apple and get the phone but we are a premier member and they won't let you do that, penalized i guess for being a premier member, which doesn't mean crap! So I am stuck waiting on ATT, and I don't see an end in site.
 
If my 6+ 128gb SG I ordered on 9/19 don't ship out in two weeks, I'm going Nexus 6, I feel like we been treated like some sort of step child and getting played with by ATT and Apple.

I heard the nexus 6 sold out.

My nephew's 6 64gb gray shipped 11/9 (his shipping dates were 10/30-11/10), and my email states: "We're working to ship the remainder of your order ASAP." My 6+ 128gb SG was ordered 10/11 in an AT&T store in Queens NY (ordered my nephew's at the same time). My shipping dates are 11/19-12/1.
 
Update to my last post, I went and picked up my iPhone 6+ (SG, 64 GB) last Thursday at my AT&T store. Set it up and using it since this past Friday. Really glad I picked the 6+. Still getting used to the size, but I am liking it. Hope all of you still waiting get it sooner as I did.

This pisses me off. Not at you personally.

But you ordered same phone but 4 days AFTER me. It will be WRONG if you get it before me. I ordered 9/19 but got a 11/9-11/27 window. So just because they gave me a later window means i should get it later? It should be first come and first served.

For awhile... only AT&T supported iphones. So its only logical that ATT has a larger share of the iphone market.

Currently ATT has 34%, Verizon has 34%. Sprint at 16% and Tmobile at 14%.

To Whom It May Concern-

The person assigned my case of my 9/21 phone not shipping has stopped answering their phone/returning calls.

He informed me my phone would ship on Friday 11/07 and he would make sure if it. He stated he would call me with a tracking number that day.

Nothing happened. I've been treated like filth on AT&T chat services and been disconnected by customer service reps via phone. One hung up on me yesterday stating she was "transferring me".

This is happening over and over and the entire experience is a chaotic mess. You all really need to give customers answers or perhaps stop selling an unavailable product.

I would like answers and would like my phone. I've been an AT&T customer since I was on my parents plan. At this point with how I've been treated I don't know why I would continue to be.

Other retailers and carriers are getting 6+'s but not AT&T and you're not giving answers. Instead escalation workers are lying to customers already upset then avoiding the consequences of false information.

Well said!!!!!! I agree - maybe giving the masses some ANSWERS would be helpful. Instead they allow shipping windows to lapse and ignore their customers!! I certainly hope you and many others receive their orders soon.....I've concluded I may never see my order considering the cancellation and reorder debacle I've encountered!

Posted hours ago I ordered a 6+ (64 GB, SG) and had the 11/9-11/27 ship dates. About an hour ago I got a shipping notification email my 6+ is sitting in Dallas and on its way. Maybe posting in this thread is good luck. #

Was your phone shipped to a store and not your home?

Yeah, it was shipped to an AT&T store. I have a business account and the rep did it that way (probably could have shipped it straight to me, but it's just how it got done). Store was close by, so not a big deal to me.
 
att.com/checkorder/#/ just changed from Preparing to Ship to Back-ordered. I'm assuming this is a bad sign since today is the last day of my shipping window?

Take me off the list. I found one at an ATT Store and I picked that up ASAP. It is a wonderful device and y'all will love it. I picked up a SG 16GB.
 
AT&T Pre-order status iPhone 6 Plus (only)

Don't mean to rub salt in the wound but...

I received mine yesterday evening. The screen is amazing! Ordered it 9/20 with shipping date 10/29-11/07.

Be patient and keep checking Apple stores. I'm not AT&T fan but Apple is the point of origin to fulfill orders. At this point AT&T is at the mercy of it's customers and Apple with this situation.

Not sure if it is a coincidence or not, but I chatted online with ATT last night about being charged my upgrade fee before phone was shipped and lo and behold it looks like it is going to process today. The also waived my upgrade fee.

Wow, I just checked my CC and I have a pending charge of $468 for my phone... Hoping it will ship out soon then..:eek::eek:
